Btw the put. knight melts away from holy damage! If you do it right you won't even have to dodge him 😅

They're not fun, they force you to use specific playstyles that really break my immersion and are honestly just annoying.
@Fabs1126 ай бұрын
I think forcing playstyles aren't necessarily a bad thing, look at asmongold for example, he had to change his strength, jump spam build because he wasn't getting through the dlc LOL. I think it allowed the player to think outside of the box.

@@Fabs112 Respeccing your character doesn't require thinking outside the box, its just looking at the wiki and seeing "oh this boss is weak to holy ill do a holy build." Dark Souls one actually made you think outside the box with its bosses, each one was an experience, Elden Ring bosses are a rhythm game.

@@Fabs112That's probably the worst example you could give.

@@daboos6353 the bosses just made me get creative with my openings. I've never hit a point where I had to think up an entirely new build to take the boss down. So far I've done it on a str build, dex build, and a melee casting sorcerer where I made Zamor Ice Storm part of my kit for larger openings. Now I'm doing a faith build playthrough, and have still been having a blast with what I'm doing. Position based openings are even more relevant now than they were before, and it feels so good to find them, as well as fitting in sneaky hits in combo gaps, and getting away with it. DS1, on the other hand, I never really had to get very creative, by contrast. I just strafe, and occasionally roll, while locked off the boss. The only things that really challenged my behavior as a player were the level hazards themselves, rather than the bosses. It personally didn't do anything for me beyond having to assess my surroundings when navigating the aforementioned levels, the obvious Sen's Fortress, and Anor Londo rafters coming to mind.
