If you’d used the key you found on that locked door across the small bridge with 2 enemies on it, there’s an old woman inside. I made backup saves and did some testing, as her dialogue aggravates you attack her. So I backed up my save, attacked her and she immediately killed me with a spell, I respawned, went back and she was dead. Reloaded my save, exhausted her dialogue but kept her alive this time and pushed on. After I killed the boss and got his mask, I went back to the old woman, and she was asleep. So I left the room, put the boss mask on and went back in and boom - new dialogue. I think the boss is her son? She is the announcer in the opening cutscene to the bossfight. Anyway, after the dialogue ended, I was rewarded with the incantation she annihilated me with when I first attacked her, it almost works like a sentry gun. Where a skull hovers over your head like a guardian type thing and shoots spells at enemies for a few seconds. So to recap don’t attack her like she asks you to, speak to her and leave, kill boss, put on his mask and go back and speak to her. Just a heads up Incase anyone is interested and doesn’t want to miss out on things.

Having never played a souls game before ive only just started playing Elden Ring, i love that you can basically go anywhere & improve your character by finding better upgrades. The satisfaction of eventually beating a boss! If its too hard go level up somewhere else, dont give up because this game is so rewarding! Just watching Jev take try after try & killing that boss was epic ! This is definitely one of the best games ever im overwhelmed by how fun it is !
