@@rubenbosma-edie8205 I don't think it's too unbalanced. The enemies do a lot of damage but are pretty manageable if you take your time and the first and third bosses weren't too bad. So far it's just been this boss that really gave me one hell of a hard time. The scadutree fragments are also spaced out pretty well so you can consistently upgrade your damage in each new zone.

Pretty sure the lore is that miquella is the son of Radagon and Marika and brother of Malenia. Miquella and Malenia were both Empyreans meaning they both had the power to replace Marika as the vessel for the Elden ring. However like Malenia was born with rot in her body, Miquella was cursed with the body of a perpetually young child. At some point, Miquella started watering a sapling with his own blood, hoping it would become an erdtree. The sapling became the haligtree. Miquella embedded himself inside the haligtree. But before he could finish this process, the tree was cut open by none other than Miquellas half brother Mohg, Lord of blood. Mohg kidnapped Miquella and took him underground where he tried to raise him to full godhood. See, Mohg’s plan was to become Miquellas consort, create a new dynasty and take the role of monarch. Mohg would have his followers drench Miquellas cocoon in blood to facilitate his awakening. However, No matter how much blood Mohg tried to share, there was no response from Miquella because he stripped himself from his flesh travelled to the land of shadow.

The NPC's are all defeating the bosses in their own version of the Shadow Realm, just like in The Lands Between many of the NPCs were killing the bosses the same time you were, that's why they're able to be summoned at most boss arenas. You're a legend Jev, keep killin this DLC man!

The upgrades with the fragments upgrade your stats, if you go to your stats the yellow stats are your stats in the shadow realm and it upgrades by getting those fragments

JEV you can hit triangle when your looking at your equipment and see how much extra power and defense you get from blessings. Then compare it with the stats in the lands between to see difference

A tip is those scadutree fragments make much more of a difference than your character level. Being around 120-150 level is pretty reasonable but the DLC enemies are matched to your level. The scadutree fragments make you much stronger

Info about the deflecting hardtear. It's insane. 0 physical dmg by deflecting like its sekiro with minimal received dmg when deflecting magic attacks. Guard counter attacks are also boosted massively from those, so it's worth trying out!

As somebody who was new to this and had really no issues going through the base game, I am very happy to see this DLC seems to be much harder for people. I can't wait to play. I have to wait, though, because I can't really afford it right now.
