hardest part for me is finding the sign, I even tried lowest grass quality and still couldn't find it without getting killed by the dragon... this should be outside the arena

I believe it being inside the arena doesn't increase Bayle's health. It would for sure if it was outside the arena.

@Rony_Weasley_ it was probably done for consistency. If this NPC summon acted different than others outside the arena, then it would prolly make people mad the other one's don't work like that. Though, I totally get your point.

This fight was way easier than expected with Mesmer's spear + axe talisman + throw attack talisman (with boltdrake +3 and dragoncrest greatshield for defense). Also, Igon is MANDATORY in this boss fight. Makes it 10 times more epic !

Sadly I cant find Igon there. I talked to that priestress, maybe I'm locked out of his quest now lol

He didn’t appear until I killed the drake that was fighting the dragon on the mountain

@@Menkii interesting. I was at the grace before and already heard someone moaning but I didnt find him. Now Im looking for him and cant hear or find him anymore. I'll try killing the dragons and see if someone will congrat me then xD

@@syeo501 if you look on your map around where the dragons were fighting there should be an npc icon, like the little square icon

So i killed bayle before i fought the 2 dragons fighting. When i surpassed the 2 dragons without killing them, Igon was lying dead on the ground. I think i messed the questline up..😢

Gotta find the map stone. Look in the unfilled area for a little pillar and go find it to fill in the map

Igon is probably one of the best use of summoning since it's inside the arena so the boss doesn't get extra hp

I killed Igon after talking to him. I wanted him to stop suffer. Got all his gear, wep ans bell bearing. Didnt do the quest at all.

Can you do igon quest line without summoning him for bayle? I do my first playthoughts without summon to get the true fromsoft experience but I don't want to miss on npc questlines either

The "true" FromSoft experience would be to summon him for his questline because that is what FromSoft requires you to do to properly finish his quest.

I think like you, you can do 2 things: leave bayle with extremely low hp, knowing that u did it and die. Summon the npc in the second time and kill him again. I didn't want to use npc to kill Bayle, but I also didn't want to lose the epic npc, so I did that.

From Software literally gave us two things to do to fight Bayle, summon Igon and get the buff from the Dragon Priestess, it was meant to be played that way.
