In the base game, malena, godwyn and miquella were shrouded in "shadows" but now this dlc would give more context and idea to miquella. Maybe also Malena and godwyn. Fromsoft lore gets juicier with context.

So its massive and makes sense for a dlc for a game like Elden Ring which is massive.

Messmer the Impaler reminds of the painting of Pandemonium - by john Martin, the original frame has a lot of snakes and the focus of the character on the painting looks like him.

The angle of the shot looks nearly identical too. Although the context seems different cause Pandemonium was depicting Satan rallying the Demons in front of the Palace of hell, while here, it seems that Messmer is sending out his forces to destroy something. Probably a city related to the Erdtree.
