I dont think enough credit is given to just how concise these noobs guides are considering (especially in this DLC) how utterly complicated they must be to put together.... especially considering, at time of writing, the DLC has only been out all of 2 and a half ish weeks. Excellent content, love seeing it.

Since this is the noobs guide I will drop tips that helped me. There are a lot of defensive talismans in base game and DLC. Make use of those if you are struggling. Level up the scadutree fragments. Do not hesitate to summon your spirit ashes and NPCS. The biggest thing: do not give up. You beat base game you can beat the DLC! Have fun!

Thank you for doing this. When I started Elden Ring, I was lost really fast and began to lose motivation. A wuick youtube search led me to your noobs guide and I followed it, so i got a golden path for what to do next. Probably wouldnt become one of my favourite games without you!

Absolutely. I think the DLC is much worse for getting lost. At least DS, sekiro and base ER had convoluted paths that led somewhere else- the DLC is full of random dead ends that on the map def look like they'd lead somewhere. It's so easy to get disheartened.

Just a quick tip for anyone. The enemies in the DLC hit really hard so at this point if you are over level 150 and have 60 vigor, I’d recommend taking off the radagon soreseal and putting on the dragoncrest greatshield talisman. The soreseal causes you to take an additional percentage damage and the skill points it gives aren’t worth it at this point in the game. You don’t necessarily need the dragoncrest tailisman but I recommend taking off the scoreseal at least. You can also use the turtle talisman and eventually an even better version. Hope this helps!

there is a scadutree fragment you missed in this, its just to the east of the ruins, where your second grace is from a pot enemy where the graves are. thank you for a noobs guide, love your guides on this game.

There are also larval tears you can pick up only at night. If you ride around in the dark, the moonlight will illuminate a spot on the ground and the item will be in it. Only at night. I think one is east(ish) of the first grace. And the pot head skadoosh fragments east of the first village, as someone else mentioned.

I was able to find 3 larval tears...one just east of the first grace, one near the run-down traveler's rest, and one up on the plateau above the first grace near Prospect Town. You can only find them at night. They're surrounded by a big greenish light, so they're hard to miss. Also, I found a cave with some art in it just behind the place where the Backhand Blade is (north east of the Scorched Ruins in the cliff).

There's a fragment he didn't show east of that first village carried by a shadow with a sparking pot on his head. If you're "overleveled" from the base game, it honestly doesn't mean too much in the DLC. The fragments are everything to increase your power.

Normal Pest threads is excellent for breaking Furnace golem stance. You can even shoot them from the horse

advice from someone who watched episode 1, You go off on tangents for no reason, important turns not said. Write down what you want to get on paper, dont go off memory. The Add guide was hard enough the first time
