I think he cancels his 7 hit combo if you hit him while he is in that initial stance with the swords raised, dunno why

Ooo does he ? i know the fight is glitchy enough especially on old gen consoles but I don't know him good enough to justify what happened there to be fair ! I'll look into it though, thank you 🙏

How do you block him without taking damage? Thought the dmg reduction on block on the katana is like 40%?

it's because that wasn't just a block, it was a deflect ( perfectly timed block ) which if you use the deflecting hard tear ( showed in the intro in build showcase ) gives you 100% PHYSICAL negation on that deflect as well as 20% more physical dmg and stance damage for the next guard counter, also stacks if you deflect multiple times in a row ( up to 80%more dmg and 60% more stance dmg )
