Elden ring was my first souls game. Before my first playthrough I read in an interview that Miyazaki recommended to stay away from the wretch class. So I decided to make it my first ever class in my first playthrough. I didn’t understand anything. How scaling work, status builds, I even went without upgrading my weapon until I reached lyndell. The first real weapon I found was also the weapon that carried me to the end of the game to slay a god…the bloodhound fang. My first ending was “age of the stars” as I randomly stumbled apon the carian manor by complete accident and ran into Ranni. I was so intrigued by her that stopped my search for the elden ring and did her entire questline before even beating Morgot. Almost my whole life Ocarina of time was my favorite game. Elden ring has replaced it. My only real regret for elden ring is that I intentionally spoiled myself on certain parts before playing such as bosses, item locations and story parts. This is my favorite game of all time. It has actually had a huge impact on my life & I am very excited for the dlc.

I am not a gamer. Never would I try to play this game. But I’ve watched my favourite streamer playing it slowly and thoroughly. Frequently I sat there with my jaw dropped and couldn’t believe what I was seeing there. And all the stories were so fascinating yet they didn’t make much sense altogether. So I wanted to find out more and found a well of KZbinrs who were dedicated to fit the pieces together. By that I found out that this game even uses heaps of ancient society culture, religion, buildings, statues, carvings to build connections inside the stories and the places that connect these stories. But it’s all very easy to be overseen while playing. One has to wander through that game like an archaeologist and connect all the dots. The picture becomes brighter and vaster and still you realise that you only discovered the top of the iceberg and that it’s still only your imagination that can try to bring the pieces together and make sense of everything. And so can every other gamer which is just beautiful. So many come together and share their thoughts ❤ I consider this game greater than a masterpiece

personally i actually really like the sewer mogh fight for story reasons. he's presumably an illusion in the same way margit is, projected by the real mogh. note that he's specifically guarding the path to the frenzied flame proscription, and that there's a barrier from morgott blocking that path too. this implies that the frenzied flame is _so bad_ that the omen twins are willing to collaborate to keep it contained despite having diametrically opposed goals and ideals. For the extra astel, it's kinda just following through on the fact that these things are a _species_. the fallenstar beasts seem to be the larval form, and the malformed stars dangling in caves seem to be in the process of pupating into the adult form. (i also have a complicated crackpot theory that the elden beast is an astel that has been taken over by the greater will). imo the godfrey shade makes the real deal's phase transition all the more impactful. and it makes sense that the shade doesn't have it since morgott, who is presumably responsible for the shade, would never have seen him as horah lough. sidenote i do adore elden ring but as far as i'm concerned bloodborne has still yet to be topped, and Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower remains the best boss fromsoft have ever made.

I took my sweet time to play formsoft game. The lack of fun in most single player games and getting tired of competitive, I stumbled across Sekiro. As a ninja lover and love to run my head to walls I instantly hook to the game. So I gave it a try. Tho the sekiro first play through was so fucking brutal, the amount of dopamine rush after I won over bosses got me soo addicted. Then the infamous Elden Ring came out. I was late to join the party because this is actual soul game since sekiro can be considered different style. But I decided to gave it a try and holy moly this game is humongous. I am almost 100 hrs in and still haven’t finished yet. I am actually traveling in that Land. The amount of emotional roller coster i am having in this game is unparalleled. The game actually ruin other games except the soul series themselves. I am directionally challenged but I never know my brain is capable of remembering exact place just by some gameplay surprises me XD. For those still thinking or havent try this game, I strongly recommend this. This is the landmark of how far the game have become. The only downside is consumption of time and the game will test you to the point that sometime u dont even recognize yourself. Rise ye tarnished, thy strength befits the crown.

I remember after launch another youtuber named ACG brought up the art design of the trees and their draw distance making them look like a painting… ever since hearing that, its clear whatever sorcery From used for draw distance using their old and decrepit engine is amazing. If the next fromsoft title could use something like Unreal as the engine to lock in better frame rates and resolution, itll be industry breaking. Clearly their game/level/story lore/art design/and musical scoring is the best, esp. given the fact their engine is old AF. Now imagine bloodborne but in 60fps official release, thatd be such an easy hundred million for them. People would flock to it. Elden ring, WoW, counterstrike source, and GTA i was fortunate enough to play at release for all of these! They really set the bar above whatever bar there was.

Margitt, Mohg and Godfrey first boss fights are clones created by Morgott, this is why they leave golden mist behind them when they die.
@Boc_theSeamster11 ай бұрын
Margit and Godfrey's clones I think were created by Morgott, but Mohg I think was conjured by Mohg himself. I don't have any sources to back that up it's just something I feel. I mean if you think about it Mohg would not want anyone to become the lord of frenzied flame, as that would completely destroy his plans to make a new dynasty with Miquella. And so to prevent anyone from interacting with the three fingers, he conjures a clone of himself to guard the only path leading to the frenzied flame.
@lahunica272611 ай бұрын
@@Boc_theSeamster first of all Mohg has the same golden aura as Margit and Godfrey, and we know that to be the mark of Morgott's magic, not Mohg. Also Morgott probably has better knowledge of Leyndell and the three fingers because he rules over the city, on the contrary Mohg left quite a long time ago. Although that benefits him too, I still think Morgott is behind this scheme.
@Boc_theSeamster11 ай бұрын
@@lahunica2726 Oh you're right. I guess I didn't notice that mohg's clone had the golden aura when he died so yeah I guess Morgott did conjure that. Do you know the reason why Morgott chose to conjure Mohg in that place instead of just another Margit clone?

@@lahunica2726 Or maybe Morgott doesn't want to associate himself or his reputation with Omens and the Subterranean Shunning Grounds, so he conjures a clone of Mohg to guard the three fingers instead of himself to keep himself from being affiliated with anything to do with Omens. Just a theory.

Elden Ring is my first Souls game, and gave me confidence to at least try out a couple of Soulslikes. My first playthrough was quite long, and I nearly missed Volcano Manor. While it can be tedious due the world's size, I ended up playing the game multiple times for the platinum, the builds, and just leveling my character as high as possible. Loved the fact the game gives you little to no guidance and just lets you explore while placing the onus on the player to keep track of where to go. Also, as odd as it may sound, I also appreciate the game for actually punishing you for mistakes, like walking off a cliff to your death. Anyways, waiting for the DLC like everyone else.

@asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa872511 ай бұрын
It absolutely does not matter what your starting build is unless you are capping your level for pvp. Any build can respec into any other build once you are at a certain level. If you are going to stop leveling at 125 or something, then the most efficient thing to do is pick whichever class has the biggest investment into the stats youre going to use.
@Eternal_Placidity10 ай бұрын
@@asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa8725And also the lowest numbers in the stats you don’t plan on using, I learned the hard way how important that is too.
@asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa872510 ай бұрын
@@Eternal_Placidity yea to be extremely optimized, you can add all the stat points together and subtract the characters starting rune level from the total. So if a character has 90 points alotted and is level 5, they have 85 free points. Now that you have a standardized way to compare the builds, you can determine whether the points that are wasted in stats you wont need are "free" or not. Say for example you had another character with only 80 free levels. 89 alotted but rune level 9. the one with 85 could waste four points and still have an extra 1 point to use optimally. So it would be better than the 80 despite the 80 not having wasted points. If the 80 has 3 more points in the stat you want, the 85 can waste 1 point and still put 4 in the desired stat before it catches up to the 80s rune level. Its usually more complicated than that, i just used simple examples. But you can figure out to the exact degree each build works better for your plan using this method. Maybe thats not the best explanation but i have a headache lol.
@Elnidax9 ай бұрын
@@asdfghjkllkjhgfdsa8725 not everyone knows exactly the build they want to make at level 130, that’s why I recommend wretch so you can respec much earlier in the game and have a much better build than if you started with another. Plus being forced to use whatever weapons you find encourages using new weapons and learning new play styles. Instead of a new player starting vagabond and using a shield all game. I’m talking about a new player experience, any experienced souls player will pick the class that matches the final build and build that character
