Luckily took me about 30 minutes to get 2..with 60 Arcane + 8 from the Silver Tear Mask, Silver Scarab Talisman, and 7 Silver foot consumables

I was able to farm 2 of them within less than an hour. I crafted the silver fowl foot, 10 of them and used it before fighting the lizards. The helm which increases item find, plus about 50 arcane helped as well. After killing the two magma blade weilding lizards, I fast travel back to the grace then repeat. Good luck!

Hey if you wanna optimize the damage, get the minimum requirement for dex and put all your points between faith and strength since they scale better with strength after +7

Having 20 Dex is better than raising Str above 50, since every stat get 100% efficiency until 20 and start losing efficiency until 50 - 55 at that points its about 50% efficiency. ( after 80 its about 10% efficiency )

From the temple of eiglay: if you are looking at the alter go left instead. There is a lift that take you up right too the farm spot. Rinse and repeat. Saved me a bunch of running.

Here’s a tip… When farming the magma blades, respec to high arcane. I did about 50 runs at 10 arcane and didn’t get anything but shields. After respec’ing to 72 (and wearing the Silver Tear Mask), I got a blade on my first run. Respec’ing requires larval tears. Farm these blades when you have access to the Eternal City. Eternal City has two tears (maybe three? I forget) Either way, get the blades and then respec into your Kratos build of choice.

Once you get one stop farming, make a cloud save and then turn off cloud saving. Go into a friend's world or summon a friend to yours. You can drop the sword to your friend, reload your save from the cloud and then get the sword you gave your friend back.

Quick tip- take a pic of current stats. Then use your larval tear to rebirth arcane to 70. Use a finger and grafted sword special(raises all attributes by 5) took me two tries and I got 2

Been dual welding these for the past few days and it just melts bosses. It seems the bigger the boss the better it does. The first farm took me over 2 hours to get it and the second weapon took about a hour using the white scarab. I'm on my third playthrough and these are really doing damage compared to some of the weapons that I used on the first playthrough which are pretty much useless now

I just farmed up a pair of these last night. Had the stones to make them both +8 and they freakin' melt shit. That made farming them so worth it... Because it's that kind of farm that makes you want to cry every 10th Volcanic stone you get. I have an unproven theory about drop rates though. After an hour log out re-boot your machine, and hit it again. Both of my Magma Blades came with in 15 minutes of each-other after a fresh start. One from each lizard man... Hope it helps, They are worth the grind if you're str/faith and need a fast hitting close quarters setup.

At 197 item discovery, it took 206 kills to get the first one, then only another 8 to get a second one. At 728 runes per man-serpent, 150K+ runes in the process - not a particularly efficient rune farm...

If you turn around befor taking the elevator there is a smal tunel in the wal. Go thru it and on the right side there is an elevator that brings you in a room behind the window you jump through. Much quicker and you avoid all enemies.

I had a guy spamming the ashe of war with two of these, breaks poise instantly as lava also does poise dmg, low fp and combos in itself until the end. That dealt like half of my hp while i was 60 vigor and running radagohns seal.

Spawn at Temple of Eiglay, take opened shortcut elevator up (send it back down for next run), go right for farm 1 then turn around go back straight down the hall for farm 2.

I just got my first magma blade in less than an hour. In case anyone doesn't know how to get a better drop rate. Wear anything theif related and use a magic type weapon to kill your enemies. Really, in other souls games, it's helped me secure rare items. I found that out playing demon souls.

I tried to do this without a high discovery level and couldn’t get a drop. I decided respec and added 91 levels to arcane and wore a silver tear mask this put me close or around 200 discovery without a silver scarab. After I did this, I was able to get two drops of the magma blades within 15 minutes. I hope this helps anyone who was struggling like myself. You can always look up lavar tears to repec after you get these drops.
