for the intelligence build, the godfrey icon enhances fully charged spells and skills, you will end up not using this talisman slot most of the time, with the dark moon blade, an alternative to the moonveil, despite way slower in its chargeable attack, it works. alternatives to that one are the magic scorpion charm with even more dmg boost than the graven-mass, most of the dmg is magic on int builds, and the ritual sword talisman, you dont traid that much and usually stay on full health. for the spells consider greatblade phalanx for extra staggering and either rannis dark moon or rennalas full moon for a weakness debuff on tougher enemies. the staff is neat, if you like the blade sorceries, the carian regal scepter is overall stronger and there is the option to also equip lusats, for even more dmg on the azur beam combo. the flaming knight is very cool, flocks isnt that great, but there are not that much options. the greatshield one isnt a flat increase anymore, like some complaining, rather take the dragoncrest shield talisman for less dmg taken to get more out of the blasphemous blade, or the green turtle one for quicker refill after blocking attacks, the erdtree talisman fits quite the same purpose, and the ancestrals spirit horn fills up fp on kills to do more flame. the arcane setup is pretty much it, multiattack weapon arts and arcane scaling on everything, this is important, a weapon will not increase any buildup if it does not scale with arcane. the nagakiba is a longer and stronger uchigatana, if you like that one, and an alternative talisman is millicents prosthesis, it should work along the rotten winged sword. (there are many armor pieces with bonus stats, for the sake of fashion i usually ignore them, but varres white mask will ad more AR on blood loss nearby.) o7

If you want an awesome spell for staggering, I recommend using Ancient Death Rancor that you get from defeating the Death Rite Bird in Liurnia. It can stun-lock most enemies and was particularly useful for Omens in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds.

Lil tip for anyone building the battle mage. The graven talisman increases sorceries by 4%. However there's a stronger version called the mass graven talisman that increases sorceries by 8% and u can use them both at the same time. Theres also the magic scorpion charm that gives 12% boost at the cost of some physical dmg negation.

For the bleed build, you're better off using White Mask for the increased attack power. Also I'd swap out the turtle talisman for Millicent's Prosthesis. Gives you 5 free DEX and further increases successive attacks.

My battlemage build was similar to yours, but I’d recommend Carian Regal Scepter and Rogier’s Hat if you are using glintstone sorceries. I have found that Shard Spiral is probably the strongest spell in the game for late game bosses like Maliketh and Elden Beast because it has insane tracking, can be charged, and it moves slowly while hitting the enemy multiple times. You can spam this thing and melt health bars without terra magica. It also means you’re not reliant on the infinite fp physick.

A really fun build I started running lately around NG+5 is Bloodhound's Fang and Black Flame Blade. The speed of curved greatswords and the fast cast time of black flame blade makes for a really flashy and technical build that revolves around making your enemy whiff attacks by maintaining some space and then closing in with the Bloodhound's Fang running attack and get out with the AoW I recently beat Malenia with that build almost hitless and it was the coolest shit I've ever done in the game. Not the easiest build, but one of the coolest ones I've seen in action

bloodhounds fang is a great weapon, possibly the best curved greatsword. also did you know the ash of war has a follow up if you hit heavy attack right after the retreat, you do a bloodhound step forward into a slash that does a lot of damage

Im currently using a Crit build with Misericorde, Flames of Redmane, Buckler (for parries), Alexander Talisman, Dagger Talisman, and the fp/hp restore Talisman on crits . With Alexander's Talisman that increases skill dmg by 15%, Flames of Redmane usually staggers most enemies in 2 hits and the fp cost is pretty low. My Misericorde is split with str 65 and fire dmg and does over 2k per crit. Also with the 2 Talismans what regen hp and fp on every crit you can sustain for a long time without using flasks. Super fun crit vampire build.

I would absolutely recommend to pump Faith to 28 on the bleed build to take advantage of Greyolls Roar (and possibly other dragon communion incantantations) as Greyolls Roar debuffs your enemy making them take 10% more damage and doing 20% less. If you use Greyolls Roar and Golden Vow together you get absolutely tanky while your enemy takes significantly more damage. Also Rotten Breath and Ice Breath are super Powerful and make sense to use in a build that already has the stats for them

Hrmm... lvl 250? 80 Faith/80 Int and the Prince of Death staff to absolutely blow the spell scaling of all other staves out of the water. You can even offhand an unupgraded Lusat's for the bonus or grab a Golden Order Seal and enjoy the ability to cast every spell in the game (with a minimal arcane investment if you want to use dragon spells). Personally my mages tend to be on the 'squishy' side with 30 to 40 vigor. Health is a personal preference issue. If you want a harder game invest less, or if you want comfort invest more.

Katanas just feel so good, its the only weapon type (for me) that doesn't feel like im swinging it in syrup. I've never been a fan of the "pre-input" game mechanics where you have to queu button presses because all the inputs move so slow on your character. I realize its a thing in a lot of games, but I just prefer instant response and quickness.

I play on PS4. I have to say, Ordachi/hat dudes katana+ moonveil is dope. Buff with Erd Tree(PS4 is DPS and defense boost for 60 seconds) the extra range is like a hook that auto pulls your blade into them when using the "L1" combo katana attack

For example, did you know you can place Glowstones in your pouch and that they illuminate a dark cave better than a lantern or a torch? I have 6 Builds/characters at level 185 and have beat NG+ with them for plenty of smithing stones and two of each weapon that I use maxed out in case I want to Powerstance them. Quality: Bloodhounds Fang, Haligtree Knight Greatshield but I use a bunch of weapons. Intelligence Wizard: Moonveil Katana, Dual Wing of Astel, Darkmoon Greatsword, Carian Regal Sceptor, Carian Knight Shield, I use a variety of Sorceries Faith Holy Paladin: Sacred Relic Sword, Dual Marika's Hammer, Guardian Swordspear, Erdtree Greatshield, Leyndell Knights Greatshield, Erdtree Seal, sometimes I switch it up and go with Blasphemous Blade and go for Fire Damage instead of Holy Damage. Mainly use buffs like Golden Vow, Blessing of the Erdtree, Erdtree's Protection, Flame Grant me Strength, but I do use Wrath of Gold and Elden Stars for offensive Incantations. Arcane/Dexterity: Dual Rivers of Blood Katana, Eleonora's Poleblade, Dual Curved Bandit's Sword, Dual Nagakiba, Inverted Hawk shield(the red one), Dragon Communion Seal, Bloodflame Blade, Bloodflame Talons, Bloodboon Ritual, Swarm of Flies Incantations Strength Build: Golem's Halberd, Nightrider Glaive, Greatsword, Axe of Godfrey, Prelate's Inferno Crozier, and although I forget the name, the big Rusty Morningstar Greathammer with the spikes and Kite Shield Dexterity Build: Dual Hand Of Malenia, Dual Shamshir Curved Swords, Dual Nagakiba, Black Bow with Bleed Arrows, the Barrage AOW is actually badass, Albinauric Longbow with Rain of Arrows AOW

For the samurai bleed: Have 13 points of intelligence and use discus of light with the dragon communion seal. One of the best incantations in the game FP/Damage wise that hits twice and has a very decent range. Also, bloody slash is incredible, so you may not need Rivers of Blood that much. Bloody slash uses your HP and very little FP, but it is SO powerful you will enjoy using it a lot, at least until you have access to RoB. Also, faith in 17 allows you to use lighting spear, a great incantation as well. You may want to have an higher amount of faith in order to use the dragon communion incantations however. That will be my variation of the bleed samurai, that is the one I'm playing currently and it's been quite fun and powerful.

I'm level 217, and I use rivers of blood, I know about the hard caps and stuff, but I've gotten the veteran's armour, rotten great axe, and the tree sentinel shield. But I'm a mage. What I've been doing is leveling up my arcane scales better with my character, and for talismans I got the those that defend against attack, defend magic attack, and non physical attacks. For spells I use ice crag, comet azure, rock sling, meteorite astel, and founding rain of stars.

elden ring was my first fromsoft game, so I really had no clue how to build a character or anything. However, I ended up going with a strength arcane build just from the trail while playing. Had dual banished knights greatswords with bloody strike on both. Never actually used bloody strike, just had it so I did bleen damage. Using almost exclusively power stance jump attacks made every boss in the game look like a joke, did around 5000 damage per hit, and would bleed with two jump attacks. It definitely wasn’t optimised, but for my first souls game I think it did great.

I've done some A-B testing and using curved swords with Seppuku is close to Corpse Piler if not stronger when melting folks with bleed. Obviously the range advantage of RoB gives it the edge, but for pure hack n slash, curved swords are beast.

The easiest way to beat Melania is an ice zweihander with stomp upward chop. You will stun lock her and with ice build up, it'll stun her by the time you need to recharge your stamina.

great builds cold! only thing id suggest in the samurai build, instead of uchigatana, use nagikiba, it has slightly more dmg and the extra reach is very useful, and for chest piece i would use raptors black feathers for 10% extra jump atk dmg, also white mask is BiS head piece for bleed builds as it gives 10% atk power whenever blood loss happens(which is all the time in bleed build), other than that amazing builds, love watching your vids brotha:)

The Uchi is basically the only thing he got right in that build LOL. The Naga scales with other stats so it really doesn't make any sense at all to use in a bleed build. The Occult Uchi and RoB both scale with arcane, so why would you use a different sword? Bleed = Arcane. The math has been done and it's already been proven that Arcane out damages Dex in a build like this, so you shouldn't even be putting a point into Dex beyond base stat requirements for gear until after soft capping Arcane.

RoB isn't just on par with Moonveil, it's outright better. Best all-around weapon in the game and it's not even close. Also while the bleed build did get the off-hand sword right (Uchi) as the best option, there's no way to justify not having the white mask. I have no idea what he's thinking using the ronin's mask and over it, especially while not using the rest of the armor set. Ronin's armor does the most damage negation per weight in the game, which he doesn't even mention. If you need to save weight anywhere, do it by using Ronin's gloves. You can also just swap out gear to get your faith buffs up if your stats are low and then swap out. Jump attacks also add bleed with a single hit so the chest/talisman combo should be used (get rid of the turtle).

I agree with these but I'd change up 2 things... the wing of astel made me stop using moonveil. They nerfed moonveils ash so its stagger isnt as good as it used to be. The WoA ash is basically a magic version of Flame of Redmanes (if you've ever used it you know. 2 rapid casts and ANYTHING gets staggered). Plus the projectile on basic R2 gives it the edge for me. On the faith build you don't necessarily need mind that high at high levels. You can go with 8 fp flasks vs 6 health flasks because the Blasphemous blade works as a health refill making hp flasks not as important.

I also used the swarm of flies on my bleed build to really do a lot of damage. My Uchi katana has ice and fire...with heavy bleed and is +25. It has proved to be a deadly combination and I wield it with the blasphemous blade. My stats aren't as high as yours. I started off as a strength build and transitioned to bleed. I never adjusted my stats either. I'm more of a hybrid build

Great vid here but I will tell you, at that high of a lvl, you are going to want to make sure UNLESS all your stats that you want are already at 80, there is absolutely no need to go over 80 until you have everything else leveled to what you want it. My main build is a level 330 and I have 80 Int, 80 Faith, 40 Arc, 40 Dex, 60 Vigour, and 50 Mind. I am turning my character into an arcane/dex build along with being Int/Faith. I would’ve already had 99 Int and 99 Faith if that was actually useful to do if I didn’t want to try anything else out. The amount of extra damage you get from 80-99 is negligible. My point being don’t start putting points into stats higher than 80 unless you are not changing what your character does. Fantastic vid though gave me a lotta good ideas.

what some of my friends and I have found is that the Mohgs fork is very well paired with the finger print shield since you can poke and the for has a large AOE blood loss attack, its a really good tank arcane build

If you use back loaded staffs like Carian regal Szepter or lusats you get more dmg from 68 int and further. Even over 80 there is only a soft cap for those staffs, so going to 99 int is viable for those who want go full mage. Below 68 int academy staff is the best scaling staff. At lvl 250 you can use the death prince staff with 80 int and faith for more dmg than even lusats without the 50% extra FP cost...

Interestingly enough you can make your own 'rivers of blood' fairly early into the game. Grab a nagakiba, slap the 'Double Strike' Ash of War on it, then buff it with Blood Flame Blade. It's rather hilarious to see the enemy suffer from multiple bleed procs even when your not hitting them, thanks to the stacking build up from blood flame.

@@dukkavia carian regal scepter or the Carian Glintblade Staff for a dmg boost on glintblade sorceries (things like phalanx spells) Lusat's staff (for dmg boost but extra FP cost) and Azure staff (for increased cast speed but also more FP) are also good options

Radagons Icon Talisman is good for casting Sorceries and Incantations, it speeds up casting time. I use it on my Intelligence Wizard. Godfrey's Icon, Great Jar's Arsenal, Bull Goat, Shard of Alexander, Lord of Blood's Exhultation, and Green Turtle are all great talismans, Rotten Winged Sword, Milicent's Prosthesis, Godskin Swaddling Cloth and Taker's Cameo are also really good talismans.

At level 250 any build is OP on the first 2 play throughs and in PvP. My highest level character is only 164 and is a split faith intelligence build with enough arcane to be able cast every spell requiring arcane and enough strength to use to the darkmoon great sword. And i have no trouble in PvE and for pvp i just use sorceries

I feel like there's so much you can do to make the incantation build to make it top tier not just in PvE but also PvP. Either way Golden Vow needs to be used and should be required if you plan on using a weapons 🚫🧢

While the blasphemous blade is excellent it can't do everything in a faith build. The coded sword, sword of night and flame, black knife and that sword that Anastasia tarnished eater drops imbued with the prayerful strike ash of war comes in handy as well

I'm sorry but anything past 150 and I don't even consider it a "build" anymore lmao you can pore way too many points into stats that some builds should have no business having. For example an 80 intelligence sorcerer wearing full bull goats armor. That's not a build that's just pure insanity

But when you just go threw the game without farming you will easily reach level 175 by the end of the game so you think ppl should just stop leveling while they play the game why would anyone want to do that unless they are trying to stay around the meta for pvp

For that fire biuld you will never hit lvl 200 in a playthrough you can hit around 165-170 if you do everything and you would be better off using the erd tree shield it only wieghs 13 lbs so you only need 25 endurance and can have 65/65 strenth and faith using tailsmans to get more scaling from blasphemous blade and be able to use any incantation you want not to mebtion the playstyle is alit more fun imo esp since the shield also lets you fire magic projectiles back at enemys and can tank almost any hit

So with samurai blood build: obv the white mask and the raptor jumping chest armor, but I see a lot of people sleeping on the brair armor for hands and legs. With all the rolling we do, it is a no brainer to add those pieces for a little bit of chip.damage (also it breaks the bubble wonderous physiks). 85 is 5 over the hard cap and I honestly wouldnt recommend it. I'm level 198 and off hand I recommend this stat layout: 60 in health, 20 mind, 50 in stamina, 18 in strength, 22 in dex, 45/50/ 60 in dex (depends if you want to add any faith blood shenanagans or not). Obviously rivers of blood is the #1 here. Uchi katana is OK but I still like the Nagakiba best. I actually run 2 RoB, 2 Nagakiba, 1 moonveil, and 1 dragon communion seal (right hand is 1 rob, bloodhound step nagi, and moonveil. Left hand is 1 rob, 1 nagi with braggards roar -im still testing what skill I like best on this nagi; and the seal as my 3rd weapon)

For talisments the best 4 to use are prob lord of blood, Alexander's, and the two you get from millicents questline. Personally I've been messing around with the tali that reduces FP for skills, Alexander's tali, lord of blood tali, and the last is usually a toss up between either of millicents rewards (not sure which is better lol) Also I've been messing around with cutting out the faith aspect all together and using that dagger which power stances when used with a katana with a parry ash of war on it. When that is the case I try to put 60 in arcane. I'm level 200 and started as a samurai and off hand I think the stat spread im messing around at the moment is: 60 vigor, 20 mind, 50 endurance, 18 strength, 22 dex, 23 mind (18 strength and 22 dex let me use the nagakiba while 23 mind let's me use the moonveil), 8 or whatever the base faith is for samurai, and 60 arcane. You could probably cut the points in mind for faith, stamina, or more FP but I love my moonveil. Hope this helped. I'm not great at pvp but this is what's worked for me. If anyone has any tips let me know because I'd love to get better ^.^

Duel seppuku scavenger swords might be a better arcane blood build. Higher dps, also harder to counter in pvp. Js.

*Blasphemous Blade is #1* - If you use Poise Tear, Ironhide-Perfume and Crucible Armor (or anything with Poise>70) you can cut the Shield and just nuke through any Enemy in the Game :D

I use both ritual shield and sword talismans with opaline. When my health is full my defenses are in the 60s which happens alot with the blasphemous blade. I use Godfrey and Alexander talismans with the fire tear,golden vow,flame grant me. Level 133 46 str 30 fth

Hey ColdBwoyy, What would you say would be the optimal stats for a Strength/Faith build at level 240? I’ve whacked up faith to 99, vigor is at 60, mind 30, endurance 40, strength 55, dex 19, int at 9, and arcane at 7. Im trying to hit the soft caps for strength, and thought about aiming for the higher soft caps for strength by grinding but I’m not sure if that’s even worth it. Love your videos man! 😁💪⚡️🔥⚔️

Hey! The soft cap for Strength is 60. Your build is great! Adding anything else will only make you stronger. I would lower your faith to 80 and increase your strength to 80. Those are the hard caps for both!

@@ColdBwoyy Hey man, I’m guessing this is a bit of a silly question, but my faith and strength are now at 80 as you suggested, and I’ve also now levelled up intelligence (with talismans to raise stat points it’s around 35 I think) so I can use basic sorceries (primarily for another saved avatar I’ve made for the look). May I ask, because I can now do those sorceries am I still a Strength faith build? I feel somewhat loyal to strength faith builds! 😂💪⚔️🔥⚡️

I did the same blood build for my first play through.. Except I went with 60 vigor, 80 arcane, 80 Dexterity…. Can’t really justify having more than 50 vigor when you shred through the game with these stats… but I soft capped anyways with 60 for pvp..

I think your guilde is invalid since you are over leveling once you pass lv100 everything is easy. These metas are for ppl who cant dodge if you know how to dodge, Serpent Hunter is your meta. Try whips with arcane bleed proc you can even stunlock Malenia once she in the cornor if you have enough endurance btw.
