Elden Ring - What it does better and why

Elden Ring was my first Fromsoft game. The thing I like most is that it rarely takes control away from you. I can run around for hours exploring and fighting with no forced cutscenes or random NPCs to talk to all the time. I love that the few interactions and cutscenes you get are very short and let you get right back to the game.
