To be fair, the Elden Beast at least would make the fight longer and closer (but probably still lose) if not teleported directly front of Messmer and instead the battle starts as it starts in the base game. The beast starts with its pretty deadly fire breath but does no damage at all, because Messmer is immediately too close.

@@mz655 It's not really a bug, maybe glitch? per say. Some creatures have longer death animations, so their body persists for a while and is able to proc effects. If you play a bleed build you will notice that sometimes you proc bleeds on enemies that are already dead when for a split sec until their body disappears.. So seems it also works on Malenia's lifesteal, probably other procs.
