The voice acting in this small piece is amazing. The best intro in any Elder Scrolls game. Definitely a lot better than "Hey you, you're finally awake."
@celphalonred19993 жыл бұрын
Nah, kinda shit really. "Hey you, you're finally awake" as you wake up in skyrim being escorted to your execution only to be interpreted by the coming of the dragons, and the world eater himself, is indeed far better.
@Bauglir1002 жыл бұрын
@@celphalonred1999 Yeah, but Skyrim's opening is not worth experiencing every goddamn time you start a new game. At least in Oblivion, you can skip the intro video and go straight to the character creation part. Skyrim takes three and a half unskippable minutes before you get off the wagon to get to the character creation section, and then you have to go through the whole execution sequence, and then you have to run to the keep and fight your way through the entire tutorial dungeon to get out of Helgen. And unlike Oblivion and Fallout 3, you don't get the option to change the character you created one more time right before you go out into the world for the first time, which would've saved you the trouble of having to go through the dungeon all over again. So you have no choice but to experience that grand opening over and over every single time you want to create a new character. And with all the re-releases and ports Skyrim has received, you're going to be seeing that grand opening a lot. So most people are basically sick of it by now, and it's become a joke over the years.
@hobomike69352 жыл бұрын
"hey, YOU. you're finally awake" has charm in it's own way. the problem with this game's intro is it makes the imperial city seem so big and bad@$$, it's almost misleading since the actual imperial city is way smaller once you get to start up the game and explore it with your character. you can, of course, mod the game to fix this, but I just remember skyrim living up to how big it's world seemed to be compared to oblivion, which just felt a little smaller than I had hoped :(

I was so obsessed with this game ten years ago. I would set up my whole weekend around playing it. Stock the freezer with frozen dinners and the fridge with snacks and drinks. I'd start playing Friday after work and wouldn't stop (save for sleep) until Sunday at bedtime. I literally wouldn't leave the apartment all weekend. I even dreamed I was in the game which is something I never did with any other video game. For a few months that summer it was better than my real life.

People still clamour for a remake of this. Oblivion remains one of the greatest games ever made, in my opinion.

Patrick stewart, I grew up with Start trek, you made my weekends worth it. When I heard your voice in this cutscene, I almost screamed in joy. his voice acting is fantastic, and he is a LEGEND.

I was born 75 years ago For 40 years, i've rule as Rome's Emperor But for all these years, i have never been the ruler of my own life I've seen the borders of Germannia, beyond which no civilized eye may see... Behold in Chaos, a barbarian substant future *Alaric, Marthin Luther, Marx, Wilhelm II, Adolf Hitler* This is the 19th of August, the year of Romulus, 767. These are the closing decades of the Julio-Claudian Dynasty And the final seconds... Of my life...

This game had a lot of acting talent. Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, Lynda Carter, Wes Johnson and Jeff Baker. When you have Captain Picard, 006, Wonder Woman, Sheogorath, Saint Juib and Mother Fucking Zod in your cast, you know you have an epic story to tell.

It's a bit of an awkward one this one. The bit where the camera swoops across the basin towards the city is the bit where I get a little teary eyed, and that's before the dramatic awesomeness starts. I can't tell whether as a dude I'm just being a bit odd, or whether I'm witnessing a crowning moment of awesome :).

When he sais :" This is the 27th of last seed. The year of Akatosh 433. These are the closing days of the third era and the final hours of my life!" I get the greatest goosebumps of my life over and over again. Jeremy Souls music makes it perfect.

Oblivion and morrowind the best TES games. Skyrim is boring and not much from rpg.

and when TESVI comes out, you and the nerds will rave about how superior Skyrim was to TESVI... give it a rest.
@BananaSlug91110 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure they will say TES VI is better. But only because it's new. Those fools don't know what they're talking. They do care about graphics only.

EnderDwarf3 They always complain like that, "Oh this feature that was in Daggerfall isn't in Morrowind," "Oh this isn't in Oblivion," "Oh my God this feature isn't in Skyrim!"

Giedrius911G Letting nostalgia get to you? The only reason you're saying that is because you have some bullshit nostalgic connection to Morrowind.

Better than Skyrim in my humble opinion. The Elder Scrolls series is probably the best alternative reality role playing games ever. From Daggerfall to Skyrim, I literally lived and breathed in Tamriel.
