Actually, ive had a similar thing happen concerning the knife thing. I had bought a nice looking training knife at a convention, and the bag broke at the convention so i had to carry it openly. It was raining by the time i left so i ran through the rain to get to the hotel near by and almost gave the valet parking guy a heart attack

If you think about it, it's actually pretty interesting to see how you respect the monster goes into the fight. For Rajang, both of them were extremely fearful and cautious, and only died a couple times, not even failing the quest. For Elderfrost, they were underestimating her and they actually failed the quest. So, they did better on the much more infamous monster.

I kinda want to see a slasher flick where the protagonist uses hiding not just as a means to evade the killer, but also as to meticulously plan a way to counter-kill the assailant. Basically, both the serial killer *AND* the victim are out to kill each other in a war of mind games and trickery. The difference is that one is an experienced murderer while the other is a tactical underdog.

Yes, that's the literal definition of assault, which is "intentionally putting another person in reasonable apprehension of an imminent harmful or offensive contact" and honestly the only thing a person can think when someone charges at them with a knife is that you want to stab them with it, and really, there is no more harmful or offensive contact.

Technically, chasing (or seeming to do so ) someone with a knife would be an assault charge (in the US). Battery is the act of actually inflicting violence, while assault is the threat of doing so. Also, pretty sure that the whole corker thing is pretty unique to British English (and possibly Australian slang as well), although I have heard it before.

I think in lore, the Hunter controlled by the player is a super-exceptional, once-in-a-generation hunter that may be descended from the Dragon Hunters of the Ancient Civilization, which were basically bio-engineered super-soldiers meant to tackle elder dragons. The overwhelming majority of hunters either take years to even reach High Rank, or may not reach it at all, while G-Rank is a pipe dream for 99% of Hunters.

The gammoth you encounter for elderfrost is basically the older version of the gammoth, and also described as female. The devs describe elder frost as a super macho grandmother, which is pretty hilarious.

Don't get your hopes too high. Tigrex as for now seems too unlikely. Whoever at Valve that made that image my just have thought "World is popular, let's put some monsters", he probably never played World, he Googled MH and Tigrex popped up, said cool and there we have it.
