That trunk of crochet work is primo. You guys evaluate as though her 100s of hrs of skilled work mean nothing; find the right market and value her work. It is in your interest to refine your ability to value hand made things. Each bedcover us worth about 400$ to 1400$. Just find the right purvey. We really do cherish her work. I love that she read and saved comics.

This old woman died , please be respectable on her long years of family collecting of stuff. When i pass away, i would want my family or some random picker, to appreciate my things that have been passed along from my great great grandparents. yes, it's just stuff! But to use as money profit , it's meaning full.

I was thinking Sylvia that I don't know if I could buy a unit and just go through someone's personal belongings, their past is in those boxes..When my mom passed away almost five years ago and we had to go through her belongs I felt soooo guilty taking ANYTHING because even though it was my mom I just felt like it wasn't right all of us children just taking things like it was a yard sale..My siblings didn't have one bit of respect for the things that once meant so much to my mom. And as far as getting excited for money and project over a deceased person's personal belongs I find that very disrespectful to the deceased!! I would love to have had those wind chimes and put them in my yard to honor that lady that once loved the sound of them!! And that scrapbook and diary I would also have loved to have and put away just to save them from possibly getting thrown away or torn up..I'm 52 and a VERY sentimental person..

I often have a sense of sadness when I watch these videos. I wish families would let their loved ones know they have storage units, so the items can stay with their family. It is difficult for me to be happy for the guy who buys it and has no history or connection to the photos and heirlooms. Just being honest.

@@2ndCentsIncAuctionsCleveland That's very true about families mostly want the money. That is really hard for me to understand because I would much rather have something that belonged to my family even if I'm not sure why the have kept something for so many years. People get old and they can't survive off the peanuts they get in social security. So they can't pay for housing anymore. They then take all their belongings and put them in storage hoping someday they will be able to reclaim them and bring them to their new home Sadly, they pass away after closing their housing. It hurts me deeply vto see all this woman's precious stuff gone through by strangers. I am sure if she was up to date on the storage fees, that stuff would have gone to the next of kin. They probably couldn't bring any of her relatives or family so it became the property of the storage facility. It's sad but that's the way the system works.
