This is heartbreaking. I get the reasons for protesting but trying to blind a lone elder with laser pointers is such a low blow to someone who obviously cares about other people. Youve already lost if this is how you treat an elder.

While I admit it is unnecessary to point laser light at the old lady's face, she has the responsibility to learn the reasons behind the protestors' actions. If she disagrees with the values that they are protesting for, she has all the freedom to express her views and clear the road as she likes. They've not only been glorifying violence; they've been obstructing the police & have been caught throwing things at the police. It's not that hard to get a fake press card in Hong Kong. Plus, they'd only let journalists siding them to be filming them closeup as they know the video would be portrayed to glorify their actions. They've been threats made against anyone speaking Chinese & some were even beaten up.

But instead they do it this way, destroying streets, blocking ways, setting buildings on fire. They can be happy they are not all locked up for vandalism, I mean in my country that’s vandalism and all protest go peacefully here. (Netherlands btw). I don’t agree with these ways of protesting at all, at first I supported Hong Kong for getting their free rights but after seeing a lot of videos of how most people protest I stopped supporting them

Selfish garbage, it is all the older people that want their life of security and stagnancy, and they're the same reason why the youth has no future and is out there marching for themselves, at least some older people support them and provide resources. If you aren’t live in Hong Kong you won’t understand how horrible now is. We can’t have a different standpoint against the rioters. Otherwise we’ll get killed. So many people choose to keep silence just for safe. Just a few days ago, rioters set fire on an old man just because the old man got a different standpoint. I never feel this bad with Hong Kong , it was a place that I thought was one of the most safest place in the world.

She is really brave, considering the fact that protesters have been beating up people just because they have different opinions, e.g. the elderly man in a shopping mall, and a Chase bank manager in front of his office. Even in this video, I saw protesters aimed laser at her eyes, and tried to set her up. These protesters are doing disservice to their cause. Yet every day, more protesters turn to be more violent... I’d say this grandma is the conscience of HK, not the self-righteous rioters.
