However, if they respect it, it should be enough. This show ain’t precisely elder people friendly (sorry bout it). I think even some Parents with LGBTQ+ sons would be like “WTF IS THAT SHOW?” Even younger ones are like wtf is that? So... yeah, not everybody enjoys it or like it, but is a really groundbreaking show

It does make me happy to see that even the Elders who don't necessarily like or agree with drag, or this show in particular, were at least respectful about it. Even saying things like "It's not my thing, but to each their own." is a step in the right direction. We have to remember that they were born and raised in a totally different time, and have lived many years thinking a certain way, and while we may not agree with their stance, it's not easy to just flip a switch and instantly think about something differently than what you were raised to think. Think about it in the reverse. Say you were raised to believe that drag was the norm, and suddenly someone told you that it was wrong or taboo. Would you immediately change your way of thinking? Probably not. It takes time, and work, and a willingness to open your mind to the fact the our world is changing, and we have to change with it. That said, I freaking LOVE RuPaul's Drag Race, and I hope they have the other generations react, too!
