He was interviewed (been researching this for a crime tour I'm writing). He didn't get a good look at bible John. But describes Helen's last moments. Apparently he was very new to the job, this was his second night taxi driving. He still didn't know his way very well. So kept taking the wrong turns. Helen got annoyed at his incompetence so told him to stop and 'let me out here'. She opened the door and crossed the road. Leaving the man (bible John) to pay the driver. He then jumped out, ran across the road and grabbed her. She struggled and resisted him. The taxi driver thought it was a normal 'lovers tiff' and kept driving... It's aggravating to say the least.

What you mentioned about the anger of women and the women on their periods and then when you said his mother was believed to may be hiding him just sent off all my psychic receptors. This man was probably living with a very religious mother. I believe his incorrect knowledge of the bible was given to him by someone else instead of really reading and learning it himself. What Im getting at is the movie Carrie. A very heretic religious mother who believed women menstruating was filthy and then Ed Gein whose mother made him have a hatred of women but a sick curiosity about sexuality. He probably went out doing his mothers bidding of ridding the world of these "slutty women" hanging out at a hookup club and what a perfect place for him to find the women. His mother probably told him how to locate women on their periods with the belts. I just got the strongest vibe off this case. This guy probably lived with his mother, maybe she died and that stopped him or she knew they were about to find him. Just the vibe I caught

Maybe he was taught another partial Bible quote about menstruating women. There's something about sleeping with menstruating women in Leviticus and it just says that the man who slept with a woman during her period and the woman who allowed him to sleep with her need to be cut off from their community. But maybe John was told that the woman should be killed. The women he killed could be presumed to be looking for a man these nights or they at least reacted favourably to him and he might have assumed from that, they were okay with having sex with him during their periods and killed them because of that.

If you ever need a video idea, There was a brutal murder in my home town only a block from where I live. A fourteen year old girl named Kaytlynn Cargill went missing and then she was found in a landfill the next day. They’ve caught the murder, an older teenage boy who beat her to death with a hammer and dumped her over a 300$ drug deal. It’s a very sad case and very close to home, it shook our whole town.

I completely believe the idea that he would leave with these women with the intention of having sex with them, and that when his victims would say they were on their period and therefore wouldn't have sex with him, this would anger him and he'd kill them. I do think all 3 women were victims of the same killer, I could definitely see why it could look like a copycat (the use of a belt in the first one vs stockings in the second two) but maybe Patricia wasn't wearing stocking? And I also feel like if someone was to copycat, why would they target the same club? Also that a copycat would have happened a lot sooner after the first murder, not over a year. I agree with you that the reason there was a year between the first two was because he was 'successfully' bringing home and sleeping with women he picked up at Barrowlands and none of them were on their periods.

Usually with serial killers the cool down time shortens, so it would make sense for the distance between the first and second to be much shorter than the second and third. The first was probably satisfying enough for him to not have the urge for another year but then once they do it again it doesn't last as long and the time between kills begin to shorten

I know I’m SO late, but regarding how he knew they were on their periods, I saw a reddit thread on this case about a year ago (I was already familiar with it) and a LOT of people were saying that they are able to smell when a woman is on her period. I guess some people have really good noses, and especially back when menstrual pads were bulkier and more obvious (they had to be held up with belts and whatnot), that could combine with a very faint scent of blood and give someone a very good idea of whether the woman was menstruating or not. Gross I know, but I wouldn’t discount that Bible John was able to tell right away if a woman was on her period. I can definitely see these murders as misogynistic and religiously influenced killings.

Just quick thought: The fact that the killer had quite a lot of geographical knowledge about the area, despite no one living around there recognizing him, kinda makes me wonder if maybe he grew up around there. I mean, a person's appearance can change a lot throughout their life, especially from childhood to adulthood. Maybe no one recognized him because he was just a kid when they last saw him... He could however also have no prior history in the area, but have worked in a field where he had access to a lot of maps and stuff. If he worked with geography in some way, it would have been very easy for him to get an idea of the geography in that particular area without him actually having to visit it before-hand.

Loved this video! I'm 50/50 on Peter Tobin being bible John. The similarities are strange and compelling but from what I know the Barrowland was really popular during the time. (i'm from Glasgow and my aunt and her friends used to go a lot, as well as some older people I know) So I don't think it''s really coincidental that Peter Tobin also went during the time of the murders. Although it is very strange that the killings stopped when he moved. It could also be possible that due to Peter Tobin's age he might have not had a lot of strength or muscle mass as he did when he was younger so he might have thought it was easier to kill his victims with weapons rather that strangulation like in bible John's case, if the two are linked. I am definitely leaning towards bible John being the same person over all three killings though. If he was local to the area and planned his murders he could have looked for possible places to hide the body or belongings days or weeks leading up to the murders and could also have been trying to throw the police off of his area by scattering the locations around.

I don’t know. I’d like to say that they’re the same killer, but the methods of killing aren’t the same. If someone goes by what works for them repeatedly, I don’t think they’d jump to another method. (Especially after not being caught) I also believe that genie is the closest thing they had to the truth, if she says it’s not him then I truly believe her as she was with him the entire night leading up to her sisters murder.

Swedish viewer here! I think you would find the Swedish murder case about Lisa Holm very interesting. It is a case that really shook the whole of Sweden. It's been a couple of years since it happened but the person arrested for her murder has still not confessed/given a reason to why he took her life. Keep up the good work!

I wouldn’t say they were emo, they were metal heads mostly. Damian dabbled a bit in religions that Christianity deems sinful, and in the Bible Belt, this ended poorly for him. Police took advantage of Jesse because of his mental disadvantages. Sad case. Glad to see you can see past the lies. Too many people can’t.

Could it not be possible that he was a taxi driver? That’d explain why the women trusted him enough to let him go (near) their home with him.. and could explain why the taxi driver in the third never came forward, because HE was the actual killer. And maybe John never came forward because he was scared it’d be pinned on him. Taxi driver would explain why nobody from the baralands recognised a certain man but he had good knowledge of the area

I think it more likely for a killer to "change his killing " more in the first couple kills but after that they have a "way of doing the kill" after then it like a calling card! My understanding is that Glasgow police know/knew who Bible John was and he ultimately lived in small town in the North West of Scotland. (I know where but wont say). The police kept an eye on him for many years but he did not reoffend and they never had enough evidence to prosecute him although he was interviewed. He died a long time ago.

I really hope you see this. My Aunt Terry Welch was murdered by a serial killer in Tulsa Oklahoma. They did her so wrong in her case and she was BRUTALLY murdered with my cousin/her son IN THE HOUSE while it happened. They only gave him a few years UNTIL they pulled a car out of a pond in Sayre Oklahoma and guess what.. he killed YEARS before my Aunt. I would really like to see what you could find.
