Hints at the Fort Pinta Festival

The Fort Pinta festival is back, and I found that the NPCs said a lot of interesting things...

I’m tired about everything revolving around Lisa and other soul riders. Lisa lost her mother, I get it, this is tragic, but I don’t have to be reminded every single time when I talk to her. Besides, I’d love to know more about the main character and her role on Jorvik. Maybe her history, too. I would also like to see her play a bigger role, not just being a fifth wheel to the soul riders or their sidekick

Me too. I'd like to see us get a job with an NPC of our choice. The South Hoof vet would be cool. Maybe a Ranger, or a proper Archaeologist? Even a construction worker... anything that will give us a better wage.

Yeah, I'm really tired about that story too. It's like it's the only part of her which is important... And same for our own role. I lost interest even in quests mostly for that, I feel like I'm their personal slave, doing all they ask without any question. Our character is really pictured as a dumb pushover, and that's quite boring. We can't even have choices, we don't have any personality. As we are supposed to be a bit younger than the soul riders, I'd love to be a student.

To be honest, I forgot about the fact that the story plays at the summer, I thought it was just a reference to real life. In the story the player comes to spend summer vacation to Jorvik so now that summer is over, it would mean that we need to return home.. Unless we get a home in Jorvik? And I also like the idea of going to Jorvik High School too, seeing those areas return and getting a bunch of quests Edit: I forgot to mention, in my oppinion it wouldn't be good if Gary Goldtooth settled down somewhere. The JWH would loose their meaning then, since they are suppose to be rare limited horses. If anyone would just be able to grab one anytime then they would kinda be like any other horse. Instead I'm hoping to get an area where these horses originate from and maybe we would be able to see them roaming around once in a while, kinda like the wild horses at South Hoof 😍

I think it would be a good idea to have Gary goldtooth get a house and settle down, but not with horses for sale. Like we could do reputation with him and in every new set of jwh, there would be one to get with no reputation, one with liked, and one with admired.

That hints are really pointy so they have to be real. But me and my friend (a longtime player) are a little disappointed because we thought we would get a big area like next year. Like, there has been too long to just make north mistfall. But I am sure I will love that area anyways. And Linda said some interesting things too. Like "It feels like the calmness before the storm" witch is forshadowing that the storm will come soon. I am so exited for this fall! And btw I love reading these coments. SSO theories are my favorite thing on youtube.

Yeah, I thought they were working on Mystic Valley, and tbh I'm kind of surprised that they're not ... but come to think of it, they still have a lot of places to update on the current map, so that might be why they're doing a smaller area.. they've gone three years without a new area, so they have to give us something, but the big area will have to wait until they have the time 🤷‍♀️

Considering both areas are being updated pretty much regularly I think we will be getting them both next year. Mystic Valley just happens to be 3 times the size of Northern Mistfall and that's not including the full map. But yes I agree with you I'm sad it's Mistfall and not Mystic Valley.

i have some theories! please keep in mind i havent gotten too deep but im trying to go as far as i can! 1: NORTH MISTFALL QUESTS so you know how when you talk to ranger alonso, he says something among the lines of "the fire season is coming", "there will be wildfires soon" and "we are already gathering the equipment like helicopters that carry water to the wildfires" etc. so i thought- maybe when the entrance to north mistfall is cleared, we will have a quest to help put out the wildfires to unlock the area? i thought that would be cool! and also alonso said he doesnt want to see keema fly the helicopter again, so maybe WE will fly it? 2: ABOUT THE OLD MAN WALKING TO NORTH MISTFALL What if the one who notifies us about the wildfires is the old man? maybe we have to save the wild horses from the wildfires and then we can get/buy them as a thank you gift for saving them? 3: HOUSES AT NORTHERN JORVIK what about our apartments? if we're going to jorvik high, maybe we will get houses/apartments there? 4: JORVIK HIGH you know how jorvik is a "horse land" full of wild horses, riders, stables, etc. but, what if the jorvik high will be an equine school? like with stables and stuff? similar to hartpury maybe? or it could just have some stables nearby, as otherwise we wouldnt have a place where to keep our horses. thanks for reading! if i have any other theories i'll edit this comment!

Also, in the Starshine Legacy games when the Soul riders were going to Jorvik High they all kept their horses at Jorvik Stables which is literally in the other end of the island x) so I think we could still be able to travel by bus to certain locations from the school! :D

Hey, it's Vulture back with another lil' comment on this video! Here are some of my thoughts. I feel like Lisa dropped out of school to pursue her music career full-on, this could've also been relating to her mother dying and her not feeling at all well while mourning dropped out sometime later (Bear with me I don't think we ever got to know when Lisa's mother died) there's also her getting trapped in Pandoria as well for quite some time but as said this was during the summer (Though it could've reached out longer maybe with her being in there since Winter or something. I really want to see how they balance out the Soul Riders having to stress about two things school and of course the climax (?) of the fight against Garnok. They can of course ignore that their going to school and pretend it's still summer or something like that. Now with the Main Story hints, I honestly want to how the group feels of the truth, as they say, ignorance is bliss. And with me playing many games where religion turns out to be bad and manipulative (What is the same feeling I get from the Druids) I honestly feel like I shouldn't trust them. I wonder if the group splits off and goes in different ways; Maybe one way going to Mystic Valley to get revenge definitely Alex and Anne while the team with more of a relaxed take it day by day and plan out tone head to Northern Mistfall and confront this mysterious wise stranger and see if they can get knowledge from surviving in Northern Mistfall, but hey these are just my own thoughts. With Northern Mistfall I really hope we get a huge forest a breath-taking place un-ruled by any man! Filled with magical horses and trees for miles! Or of course, we can get a small knit village with a close tie in with Aideen and the magic surrounding the land. I'm fine either way!

During the Farrah quests, there was a glitch that showed you heaps of customers' orders from Jorvik City. There were orders for the 'Mountains of Jor' from Leonardo, Anastasia and the guy with the parrot. These all appeared in the daily tasks. Interesting... 😉

At first I was thinking that they'd be two separate events, but because day of the dead starts literally the day after halloween, that's probably not possible, so they might just merge them together. OR: if both events last for two weeks, they can make it overlap and still make it feel like two separate events. For example: having the halloween event from october 21st to november 4th, and the day of the dead event from october 28th to november 11th

In the very beginning of the game it says that when the summer's over our character will go to the Jorvik Equine Institute. I believe that is what Anne was talking about. I'm guessing it's some kind of riding academy, or maybe our character could learn to be a vet there. I like the idea that our character might have to make a choice.

Hm, really interesting... But, in the school thing, my speculations differ a little. It could be that our character goes to school, BUT not to Jorvik High. Let me quote something from this "exposition text" or how that's called, idk, English isn't my native language, that came at the beginning of the game: "After the summer is over you [the character] will apply to the Jorvik Equine Institute, which would mean staying on the island and building a life here". I think that this means that we can go to that Institute to study, and also have a house or flat or whatever. Maybe those updates will happen together, who knows, who knows...

Anne also mentioned a hint at the light ride. She said; 'I hope we can do the light ride again this year. There is something magical about the ride that goes beyond the legends of the trail itself.' So I think there is a good chance we will get a light ride quest again this year 😀 I love all the teasers we get at these events 😀

Finally! Someone besides me addressing the elephant in the room of what happened to our character only being on Jorvik for the summer. I feel like SSO has forgotten about that. Anyway regarding what the NPCs say, yes, it does seem like hints... but... at the Midsummer Festival Linda mentioned a new cafe opening and seeing something “dark” on the horizon. Now there are only 3 current places that could be the new cafe: Governor’s Fall, JC Mall, and Jarlaheim, so it’s not easy to know which in particular she’s referring to but I feel it might be the Governor’s Fall one. I mean it’s got a long line of impatient people standing outside, that looks like a quest waiting to happen. Now the “dark” thing, and there have been several references to darkness this year, one could theorize must be the Dark Rider update which, since the Dark Riders aren’t permanently in the game, must mean an upcoming main story quest. But... it’s been awhile now and still nothing regarding either of those so who knows? Maybe they’re waiting for Halloween?

hmm if they are going to fuse Halloween with the day of the dead, could it mean we might get a new Jorvik wild horse connected to that holiday? after all, I am sure Lisa isnt the only one who actually celebrates the holiday I'm sure there are some SSO players who do celebrate the day of the dead as well, and honestly the fact that summer is ending kinda gets me interested but also raised a few questions, will the main soul riding stories continue after the summer on Jorvik is over and the soul riders would have to fight the dark soul riders during the school year?

Eleanor, in case you weren’t aware, the second book is out in English now! Maybe it’s just a American thing, but I wouldn’t see why they would do that. Also, theory thoughts. I personally don’t think we will be going to school. A lot of people play sso to get a away from school and life in general, so I don’t think they would take that risk. Just a personal thought though. With mistfall lake, I think (for now at least) that it will be mostly a place to explore, maybe do some races, even have another orienting race. And lastly, the day of the dead would be a great addition to the rest of the holidays!

I have a theory: basically me and a few friends were in Jarlaheim and it’s been updated, just a few thing but they’ve added overhangs, updated the path to devil’s gap ( when you jump in the door opens, and there are path textures up the cliffs) and the school/bank building has been altered (steps moving each day etc) so I think they’re preparing to open up Jarlaheim and maybe even have the school there? And as for mystic valley, I played through the starshine legacy games and I think that it’s split into three parts, not two, which would make it much easier to release in sections. The bright green part is tha dam, maybe with an office/ged hideout in it or something, but still the dam, the section to the right of the dam next to Dino would be kallters village, and finally there would be a chasm or maybe a gate leading from kallters village to Cape Cod, which would be above ghv and be,ow the dam. Like mist fall they would release it in three parts, and while I’m on the topic of mistfall, it looks like there’s a big space for a riding arena or meadow, so maybe we’ll have to help Gary catch and train Jorvik wild horses? I mean, - about the school stuff - The festival, in general, is all about how summer is ending. Our character, from the intro itself, said; “After the summer is over you will apply to the Jorvik Equine Institute, which would mean staying on the island and building a life here: a life filled with horses and adventure!” So we will probably apply for the program in Jorvik High, but I do not think it might be Jorvik High with all honesty. The intro has changed several times and so I replayed it to be certain this time, It might be an Academy, perhaps the same Academy as Anne's? My thought on the first hint: The new Jorvik wilds are coming on Wednesday and my friend thinks a new area will too for some reason but this hint could mean that mistfall lake is coming too where the Jorvik are going to be sold. I think this because you mentioned something about Garry Goldtooth and the fact that SSO updated it the other day. I think with a few last minute changes on Wednesday they will release it. Hello I have a theory of how the keepers of adeien(sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) lost the light ceremony book ok let’s start I’m in the middle of reading the 2soul rider book and they mentioned the light ceremony book was kept with Pi and in Sso Pi worker for dark core until we gave her the golden apple so what I’m thinking is that when Pi was keeping the light ceremony book “safe” she turned into a witch and started working for dark core. Somehow mr.sands or some dark rider persuaded Pi to give them the book, then Mr. sands thought it would be safe keeping with Darko that’s why he has that little purse. Yes I know Darko dies falling of an island in pandoria and if he had the book then the book fell of the world too, so now the book is ACCUALY lost forever. Or there is another chance that some how it landed on something and gornok grabbed it and somehow is gonna give it to the dark riders. Also did anyone else realize that in the Linda trailer thing about her when we see the piles of books (the last book to be exact) that there’s the light ceremony book so she might have lost in in a Battle and the dark riders then have it and it continues just like I said before. tbh I really don't mind the idea of the JWH being available all year round if that is what they are going for, yeah limited time horses are cool but it suucks so much if you miss them, I would love some of the older ones like the Halloween and Christmas horses, it'd be really neat if you had say reputation based system where you'll unlock more of them, the more gary goldtooth trust you or hell even something similar to how we got the Rune runner. I also highly doubt that our characters and the soul riders will be going back to high school cus the canonical age of all of them is 18, you graduate high school usually at 17 sometimes 18 I did,but I was one of the few 18 year olds that did graduate at that age and that's cus I was held back a year so I don't think a high school would happen a post secondary maybe?

So maybe when they do the highschool that the soul riders attend will be worked in or added. I would love that! Maybe we can do daily quests to earn rep with the highschool!

Since I haven’t read the books or played the old games I don’t know if there is any information on this but I noticed something odd at the castle in Epona around New Hillcrest and it was that behind the castle a little below it on a rock you can see an opening that looks like it got closed in. I don’t know anything about it so it may be something important. I don’t know. If there’s nothing on it maybe you can look into it?

SSO said that there wouldn't be any new areas in 2020, so I think they may release it in 2021... they have previously released areas at the end if the year, but it sounds like northern mistfall is not that far away, so I'm guessing they're gonna release it early next year 🤔🤔🤔

you said that they might open jorvik high possibly except linda and alex would be attending college.in their character information it says they are 18 which is almost always when people go to college. now i always assumed our character was the same age maybe a year or so younger so we could have to do some sort of school quests but what if somehow idk but maybe finally garnok was coming but like not by being summoned and this isnt the greatest idea i just think something is going to happen with garnok. but i would so so so love to learn about our character maybe even like describe ourselves like maybe when meeting someone at school? my comment is chaotic lol sorry
