Info dump: Unreleased areas

What exactly do we know about unreleased areas in SSO? The original Jorvik games reveal a lot of secrets that could be implemented into SSO, so I decided to make a video about it.

I can see SSO easily going on for another 10 years or even longer- compared to other games, SSO is a very small game. There's so much lore though, both canon and fan-made, and so much more to incorperate into the current SSO game. Aaaaaa I'm fangirling over it 😂

And counting all the other SSO games, which (correct me if I'm wrong) have been around since 2005, if the game becomes more mainstream we may get to see 20 or 25 years of SSO! :o Or we can just fantasize that the game will go on forever and never have a final update, which is what I'm going to do 😂

I feel like with the iconic areas such as pine hill and devils gap, SSO will make sure to stick to their roots and go off the original sources, creating a similar area to the other games. But I feel with the other less known areas they will reinvent a lot of them, so they look more unique and can be distinguished from other areas. Anyways I hope SSO releases an area next year, but i feel like they may drag the updating of dino valley until next year, pushing the new area release way back. (Also I do think mystic valley could be a placeholder name, and i definitely think SSO will do something with ashland)

I think Dino Valley is next year to be updated. because iv'e seen Star Stable reacting to a comment where they said that Dino valley is not going to be updated this year. I do think Devils Gap could come out soon as a new section of a already excisting area because Devils Gap belongs to Jarlaheim. Ashland is also a section but then from Dinovalley just as The two other parts of Mistfall are sections cause Mistfall is already released. But Ashland and Phine Hill probaly won't be released this year or next year, because Phine Hill excist further up North Jorvik and Ashland is not that important in the story right now. Devils Gap has an important part in the story now cause that's where James was kidnapped to by Katja. And the Darkriders are going to be updated soon so i think that will get a mainstory quest there about the Soulriders facing off with the Darkriders there. Mistfall will have new things from what the spoilers said at the midsummer festival. So that's why i think one of the Other two parts will be released this year or next year.

I myself have never played the other sso games, but it’s nice to know that the map is actually huge and there are a ton of different places. A lot of those places are definitely more snowy, but if they ever do add them I really hope they don’t pull a Dino valley but instead make it a nice snowy village and stuff.

Can I just say that one thing that really bugs me is how Jorvik City, on the map is literally the same size as Silverglade Village.

Yup, same 😂 one could argue that it's not an open world like the rest of Jorvik, so it doesn't really matter, but I mean that shouldn't prevent it from looking like an actual city on the map 🙈🙈 would be really cool if it became an open world in the future, but that will probably not happen (at least not until we have all of western Jorvik and they start expanding it to the east)

Starshine ranch is not in the book cuz when the book first got realesed in swedish (i live in sweden and speak swedish) starshine ranch did not exist, and sso maybe did not have it in mind scince the first book that was realesed in the atumn 2019

When I did a quest I had to go to paddock island to see what dark core up to... and in the map in my book “soul riders” dark core is somewhere else close to mystic valley. I was like really confused when I found out in my book xD

I have a thing for Jorvik high xD: Its a high school right? And if I could guess our characters are around the age of 16. I think it would be a great idea if your character had the choice to go to Jorvik High and learn stuff! It would be a little like the reputation quests. If you chose to enter the school, your character could pick up books and read them, which would be able to learn stuff, which would, in turn, make you have more reputation automatically with people because they would know you from the school! Quests would also go faster, since they would trust you with stuff more, along with the fact that there would be less day blocker quests. I also think that it would be cool if our character could go to class and learn stuff like 2 times faster and unlock more books! ty for reading! xD

I found something! When you go to your map and hit the ">" to change the icons that show up if you go to the bottom you'll see one called "MAP_MARKER_GATHERING_NODE". I think it might be related to the Farah quests but still, it's a little weird. When you turn it on nothing shows up on the map anywhere. Just thought this was a little interesting.

Abril Macchi What I meant was I think it might be like a marker to show where the plants are. And maybe once you find a plant in a specific location it'll be added to the ones that show up when you have that marker on. If that makes sense.

The winter valley areas are definitely possible. North link textures have been slowly changed into new ones, even in the part you can’t see unless you go trekking 🙈

If SSO released the entire map of Jorvik, everything would be HEAVEN. So many places to unlock, not to mention the game itself would take a year or two to play through, and that's not even mentioning when you're not playing and still have quests. That would attract more players because of all of this land! So many places! Maybe this one is the first in a series, like the Autumn, Winter, Summer, Spring Riders.

Yeah, star stable is one of the game series that SSO is based on (hence the name), and there was in fact four games taking olace in four different seasons (but the spring riders and the summer riders are less interesting atm because they take place further up north on the map and won't be relevant for years)

I think for the high school one, SSO can add the area and make that area educational. one area of the school can be maths, and the other school subjects in other areas throughout the school and the wiestions get hatder the more you get righr, and easier the more you get wrong

About Darkcore oil rig if you have read the first book theirs a page where it's mentioned that the rig itself is a sort of a boat and that it can float over the water( sorry for spoilers) so when Cape point will be released there probaly be main Quest where that will be explained and mabye that will be a way to sneak op on the oil rig itself. And about the area behind North link there is a area called Everdale (probaly in that circle area where things got updated and tested) so that's probaly what that area will be called partialy.

But they are probaly just using the sea in between Epona and Harvest counties as a secret location to hide themselfs. But i pretty sure that they will move them selfs at some point to Cape point or some other dock like that place with the old ware house in Jorvik City. Cause like i said the oil rig is a boat.

Meander was my favorite SS area, I hope we'll get it in SSO. And Pine Hill too, considering it was pretty important to the story. But I know they retconned it so I don't know

I think especially Pine Hill is too important to leave out, so that will most definitely return in one way or another. Of course, they have updated the graphics and everything so it's 100% not gonna be the same Pine Hill that we had in the winter riders - but that doesn't mean it can't look similar! Cape Point has also been mentioned in the book, and that is where the dark core HQ is located, so I'm hopeful that that'll return too. But I do fear that they'll be changing it up a lot, because the place itself doesn't have all that much story relevance. As for Meander, I don't think it has been mentioned outside of the map, so I'm not sure what to expect for that one :/ I, too, would love to see the old areas come to life in SSO, but I understand that we can't expect for them to look exactly the way they did. I am hoping for some good representation of what they used to look like though.

I have gone mystic valley in sso, they are definitely not close to finishing it. There’s even a part that isn’t textured, it will come in the next years probably, though. They also don’t have any or houses fences etc, only trees. Also mystic valley is right next to the goldenhills valley so I think it will have some quests connected to goldenhills. So get some quests done there! jk- And about the other side of wild woods, ( yes I know this was made before wild woods came out I just wanna give some info on it. ) I don’t think the other side is coming out soon, I haven’t been there but I’m guessing their working on Ashland or something else. ( Also fun fact: I’ve gone to ashland and it’s almost done! It’s textured and everything! It has a house, the volcano, and even a trail to go by. You’ve probably seen that anyways lol- but what you probably haven’t seen is the borders, there is no borders next to where Ashland is. So I think that’s what their working on so when people do unlock it when it comes out people won’t be falling of the edge of the map lol )

Neither old nor new Hillcrest looks like the original, so even though there's an explaination, it is a whole different thing in SSO than it is in the autumn riders. The name mystic valley came in 2018 when sso put new areas on the discovered areas and one of them was a secret location with description mysticvalley_hint and another mysticwarehouse_hint people speculated it was nothern jorvik so it was never comfirmed

1:00 actually the hillcrest in autumn riders isn't new hill. The hillcrest in the autumn riders is named "old hillcrest" in sso, but it was blown up by GED, so they made "new hillcrest", old Hillcrest remains a closed area within the map

What level you have to be really depends... there's usually quests you need to do in order to unlock a new area, and if you're lagging behind in the questline then you might not unlock the area until you're a higher level 🤔

It probavly will... we used to get a new area every yeat back in the day, and the reason we're not at the moment is that they're updating the graphics in the game atm ehich is very time consuming. It sounds like the plan is to continue releasing new areas when they've finished updating the current world :)

Does anyone know when all the star stable games were released ( i.e star academy, starshine legacy, spring riders ect.) I don't need anything specific just the year would be fine, I have tried to Google it but nothing that I wanted has shown up im just really curious 😂

I'm Pretty sure that Mystic Valley is not a new area. Mystic Valley is in GoldenHill when the first pandorian portal cracked. The codes are MysticValley_CRACK like the pandorian crack that we had to close first.🤔 And even when accidantly they put the new locations in the game, I've got the MysticValley location in GoldenHill, when I've done the quest with Pi. 🤔

I know this is my second comment BUT, hillcrest did not become a whole diffrent thing, do you know why there is NEW hillcrest and OLD hillcrest? Its becuase before it was just called hillcrest (the old star stable games) and then G.E.D came and took over the then existing hillcrest and the people that lived there made a new hillcrest that they called new hillcrest and the old they called old hillcrest

All the Jorvik games are available on oldgamesdownload.com, however the Star Academy games are very difficult to play in english because you will need to mess with the files in order to do so (it was never released in english). I have full english playthroughs up on my channel in case you don't want to go through all the fuss with those games, but if you do there are tutorials on how to play them on a channel called Silentwatcherka 😊 all the other games are available in english so you can just download them straight off the site
