In this video, we have with us our rocking host Mr. Vivek Bajaj, co-founder, StockEdge, Elearnmarkets, in conversation with Mr. Kirubakaran Rajendran.
Mr. Kirubakaran Rajendran is the Founder of Algo Trading firm,
www.squareoff.in who designed Trading Bots - An automated program that trades using a given set of rules. He has been featured in MoneyControl through Interview on India Top Traders. He comes from a statistics background who learned coding and the financial market due to his interests.
He talks about his growth in the industry without having much knowledge about it, and how people can learn more about the stock market and earn money. He started his own venture with his friend after he left his routine job, which was not his cup of tea.
This video is focused on rule-based trading and algorithmic trading, which will be thoroughly discussed by Mr. Rajendran. He concentrates on the fact that rule-based trading is safe and gives a better outcome than news-based trading because having a set strategy is more fruitful.
He will talk about options trading, intraday trading, position-sizing, bank nifty, and other subjects in his presentation that are necessary for an optimum trading strategy. The rule-based options will be demonstrated by the speaker through a practical approach in this video.
The right time for the call and put option, and how to use the stop loss are also explained in this video for the easy understanding of beginners who have just started trading. This video ensures that people with minimum knowledge can also trade through a rule-based strategy that is possible through understanding the stock market.

Kiru has a very grounded, down to earth energy and all the signs of someone who is very dedicated to all aspects of his work. I’ve been trading for a couple of months and every trading attempt seems to go the wrong way after a while. It is really frustrating seeing loses without any profit. So, I decided to work a bit more on myself and then opened a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take and get the same result. You need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them. Also, try incorporating the use of oscillators, Bollinger and pivot points into your strategy. And most importantly move to higher TFs(4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later.>

This is what I am learning from different people's blog and video. Will this change impact the option strategies what you have explained ...? Please clarify.

That's a good question, margin rules impact intraday margin, that's why in the video we have considered NRML margin instead of intraday margin post sep 2021, both over night margin and intraday margin will be same, so when explained the intraday strategy, considered NRML margin and calculated returns. And these things doesn't have much impact in the long run, instead this will only help traders community since over leverage is completely out now, so less people will blow up their account.

Hi Santanu, the strategy is backtested during the period where VIX hit the roof in March/April 2020, but still it ended up in profits, because VIX always revert to mean, so the strategy is backtested in extremely low vix period like 2017 and extremely high vix period like 2020, in both cases it ends up in profits
