I am at 50x of My annual expenses with only mutual fund investments and sip in initial years. Took me about 15 years

Yes, agree with you. Probably because I do SIP as well. I also felt odd with his view on SIP. But, I guess what he meant was(am reading between lines based on some of his other videos), if you have money invest it immediately, don’t SIP. I know some who say get 1 lac unexpected abd then SIP it over 6 months worried about market downturn if they invest all of 1 lac immediately. In our case, we SIP regularly because, that is all the money we can put in at that moment(+\-). So, I guess the take away from that comment is, invest and invest hard with whatever money you have(ofcourse after taking care of emergency funds, insurance etc)

Penny saved (by discount) is penny earned. It is not just financial freedom. Financial discipline is also important. And so also saving pennies. Some blessed people may not have to worry about financial discipline or saving. That's OK. Large majority will have to follow financial discipline and about saving, cost cutting etc.

People who are "filthy" rich can afford to buy something without looking at the price tag. How much money would one require to lead not extravagant but a decent life ? Sri Basant Maheswari's goals are different, and he has the capacity to realise those goals. Should the rest lead a life thinking that they are not financially free? Many would be happy with a corpus of 10x to 20x. 50x or more corpus would be for few people in the category of Sri Basant Maheswari. Discount is included in the cost of the product. If I don't claim it, the seller or the manufacturer will pocket it. Why I should not pocket discount. After all, it is me who is paying for the product. Company is offering discount for its survival. If I and others don't buy it on discount too, may be, the company would not take off or end up in a crash.

Stopped watching after 4 minutes, had respect for this guy, but all gone in 4 minutes 😮. Sounds like he is the wealthiest man in world who does not look at price tag….I don’t trust that by him. Full show of wealth. At this age he should be humble, which he does not sound like one 😔
@maddysydney Жыл бұрын
Will you listen to Sadhguru or other people if they didn’t show their knowledge? Will you learn from Virag Kohli if he played like a street kid? If an investor who has worked all his life for money now shows that he owns wealth and is giving you free knowledge you object to his sense of accomplishment. Hmm
@unknownk8738 Жыл бұрын
Pure rubbish. Money should be paid for the things which are worth it. You can't pay 1000 Rs for a tea and say I am financially free . Its not financial freedom its called stupidity.

His understanding abt financial freedom is completely wrong❌. By definition if your annual basic expenses as of today can cover for the rest of the life assuming you keep invested to adjust the inflation is correct meaning of it. It also mean freedom to make a choice and doing what interests you
