The power supply cable to your hard drive is UNPLUGGED. That's why it's not recognized. Do not ever set the circuit board side of a hard drive against the metal case. Can short out the drive or DVR.

Hey thx for your contribution. This issue was resolved as a hard drive failure. The HD was connected to the dvr and after to an other power supply I have a feeling that's where your confusion is coming from. Watch it again, you'll see what I mean. Good day.

I have a first alert 16 channel dvr and I cant get it to power up. The green light on the box on power cord lights up but when u turn on the dvr it goes dim and flashes but dont power up unit.

Mine is doing exactly the same. Also it won't recognise the mouse now either. Changed the power supply and still nothing.

I have a dvr brand of elec h.264, an hour later I found images oscillating on the monitor, turned off and I took out battery since it is protected with a password but even so after turning on the problem continues and I tried to enter the original dvr password that is 000000 does not work after 123456 nothing yet. after the problem persists, can anyone help solve this case? thank you in advance

Hey man I have same system just don't know what the name of inputs for HDD. Cause I need to get the converter for HDD already have HDD's laying around the house. What's it called, would appreciate it.

yes, there was something wrong with the motherboard. ELEC sent me another one. Since that it works fine. But I still couldn't configure the remote access. I kinda gave up on it already. I'm not recommending this product. I would spend a bit more next time for less hassle.

I had the exact same problem, then i replaced the power supply and the system started working perfectly, I connected the old power supply again and the problem came back, so now is working fine with the new power supply. This was a strange problem because both power supply measured close to the same voltage output.

OK guys, quick update. Yesterday the DVR stopped working altogether. Tried a new power cord, nothing. Very disappointed with this product. Lasted for about a year and half... Terrible picture quality, very slow customer support. Save some trouble for yourself and get something else.

I have the same exact board branded as LiView. Mine, I could never get to view over Internet; after opening port 37777 for video streaming, it started to reboot every 2 minutes and mouse pointer, camera ID's, date and s/n would disappear within the first second of these reboots. Do a www.macvendorlookup.com and see if it is made by Jinan Jovision Science & Technology Co., Ltd. eg. Mac No. starts with E0:62: Since I have a different problem, send me your board, I'll start swapping stuff for fun, 'till I find both problems...which components &/or software.

I bought a KMoon, funny, exact board. I HAVE NO PROBLEM NOW AFTER adding a heat-sink to main processor...one day, I'll get an internal fan on it and close-up.
