i usually use spheres for anti-resize or sometimes modern wheel to counter griefing like a 1 block armor

Grimgold is more of a "bandaid fix" to this problem, there is no real counter to resize griefing. Only "counter" to resize griefing is not using resized things in your build to save on block placing, causing it to be harder to resize grief and detach stuff when its connected to like 8 other blocks, giving time to find the griefer with the resize tool out.
