The biggest problem is that the majority of South Africa (poor; black and inactive in the formal economy) have never experienced what the likes of Chris has to offer. For them it is a blind vote if the do and that amount of uncertainty is reason enough for them not to vote for him. The purpose of live is not to be happy, rather the purpose of life is to suffer less and if you as an individual and family person can suffer less tomorrow than what you did today, your life is better. The anc's deathbed has been what they have caused, poor black South Africans attaining middle class status, since 2008 it has been under threat and that is why the vote is shifting.

@@kouviers LOL, nothing wrong with my English although it is not my first language. Im a senior citizen and sometimes my typing skills and bad eye sight let me down. What I intended to type: Mr Pappas for leader of the DA and of a DA led coalition after the election. My problem with John is his "negative" way of campaigning, concentrating on all the flaws of the other parties and alienating those who may be useful to include in a coalition. Don't remember what the bloated was intended to be about, maybe his for ever increasing tummy, but I dont think so because I never make degrading remarks about others, its just not proper. Thanks for pointing out my perceived lack of intelligence.😁

Chris, I live down the road and have been deeply involved in solving water issues through data driven science to correct issues. We have worĺd tried and proven solutions which can solve our country's issues in a scientific, accessible, operable way. I would realy aprciate a discussion with you and your winning team. There are very few river catchments or municipalities and irigation board/ water user Associations I haven't assisted successfully. God Bless You All

I went to see the howick falls, A securety gaurd told me where to stop, I asked why so far, and he replied and I quote " My Mayor said we must let peole stop here for safty and securety reasons" this was in November 2023. Well done Chris Pappas.
