Only downside was the folding mechanism had too much play in it and the front suspension sounded terrible if you were on a really rough ride. @tubeofyoupaste3 жыл бұрын
MAJOR FLAWS - the gauge metal they used on the swingarms is WAY to thin. mine contorted out of shape in the rear and cracked on the front. - the design of the placement of the suspension is a poor design mechanically. it places most of the stress of riding on the joint weld above the shock. that is where mine cracked. - also the shocks on mine stripped out the threads on the rod and lost a spring. - the folding mechanism didn't hold up. some piece over plastic inside slowly over time wore out and worked its way out causing my scooter not to be able to fold anymore. - the folding handlebars have a tiny amount of play in them no matter how much I adjust the screw. - the rear fender is attached to the swingarm, so it moves with the wheel. and just like the swing arms, the gauge of the fender support is to thin so when your foot inevitably hits the fender you bend the supports...causing tire scrubbing. ok with all that said, YES i did go hard with it... but why wouldn't you? you expect it to not fall apart. I recently purchased the laotie es18 after doing lots of research and comparing. we'll see how tht goes. it will be here in a month. the mechanical design is super important. unfortunately i did not record any of the last scooter before it died because i am a youtubie, not a youtuber, but am going to be making the transition soon. pshhh send me a scooter, ill give it the business and tell ya what i really think lol.

Those angled handlebars are exactly why the scooter handles well at speed, and it also means the stem is under a lot less pressure when you are leaning into it while braking. Your handlebar is definitely set too high, and you are riding more upright than you should while offroading. That is why you felt the ergonomics were not right and the deck was too short. It looks like you have the handlebar set for someone 8" taller than you.

It feels weird and unnatural if you are treating it like a normal stunt scooter at the skatepark, dont bunny hop just let the scooter carry you over and accelerate the whole way through. I have a wolf warrior and have been taking it to a nearby pitbike dirt track for the last 2 years, the jumps are a bit smaller than motto x but i can still clear n 8/9 foot table top easy. You just ned to make sure you dont undershoot it as the suspension wont handle landing flat on top, im all most at the level of attempting some doubles but there is no middle so if i mess it up im going to be sore the next day. Just as long ass you land properly on the landing slope its like you never even left the ground though, trust its it very smooth smooth.

where can i buy an extra battery so i can carry it in a backpack when iwnat to go on longer rides so i can change it when my other battery level has died. Outstorm doesnt have a website to buy batteries for their scooter and Amazon doesn't sell Outstorm lithium batteries for this 3200w scooter. What is the specs of this battery ? Please type this answer here in comments Electrek revolution
@ElectricRevolution4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure where you can buy a battery. And I'm not sure who manufactures these. I've seen a couple videos on Outstorm and their all different in some way which makes me think one manufacturer is making them all but tweaking each one depending on the seller. Sorry I don't have a better answer for ya

Manufacturered by FLJ Scooters official page on Ali Express & Alibaba, outstorm now has a website too. Hopefully you have more luck now 👍🏾

Thinking about getting this scooter have you experienced any stem wobbles
@ElectricRevolution3 жыл бұрын
Ya know, I only had it for a couple of months and had to tighten a couple of times especially after super bumpy trails. It wasn't bad something standard with most off road scooters in my experience

Hi... I ordered this scooter and didnt realise that street tires weren't an option. I've been looking into pros and cons of offroad tires on roads. But I cant find anything.... any tips or thoughts?
@oskino90ow3 жыл бұрын
Street tires is just for that, STREET!.. Now when it comes to the off road tires it should be for off road events, but they do have an off road tire that's semi- street/off road. Which is the best option to have...
@ElectricRevolution3 жыл бұрын
Off road tires are louder and a little bumpier and the range is a bit less because there’s more friction, those are the biggest differences. Hope that helps
@123dunnboy3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I see this video was uploaded about a month ago. Have you still been riding it? If so, have you had any braking problems? Still running with no issues? Still think it's worth the price? Thanks:)
@ElectricRevolution3 жыл бұрын
I don’t have it but didn’t have any issues while I did except for the light jiggling loose.

I have the same scooter and in 3 months rear mud Gaurd broke into two two pieces and in 8 month the front mud Gaurd torn into 3 pieces. The design, Battery and motors are very powerful. If the put better material on the metal, Screws and wiring it would be a great scooter but the picked very very cheap material towards that unfortunately
@123dunnboy3 жыл бұрын
@@dr.moustafaibrahim6810 Yeah ive had mine and put 70 miles on it. Already had to replace the battery which was defective (you only get one free battery replacement on the warranty and i already used it). Then, i was riding offroad (its intended use) i hit a small root and the entire display snapped off. So i asked for a refund, they sent me a shipping label without postage and they now want me to pay the nearly $250 USD to ship it back to them. what a freakin joke.

I don't know if its asking to much but you'd help get rid of some stress , This scooter market is so vast is disgusting lmfao once you think you've found something you want something else is right there hahaha Would you happen to have any upcoming reviews on Outstorms Z80? Theres literally no info on it out there
@ElectricRevolution3 жыл бұрын
True that. It's changing big time but honestly it needs to. There can be a lot done to make these last longer in my opinion. As far as the Z80, I just looked it up and emailed the company, based on how they respond, time will tell, you may see it pop here soon lol

@@ElectricRevolution you know I almost forgot about this! Once I found out the Outstorm Z80 (and all there products) are really just an FLJ Branded SK2 model + custom badging from factory.
