Electric Car in Trinidad and Tobago #2

In 2016 I spent $1,300.00tt a month in super gas @$3.58 per liter. and found that to be too much so I switched to CNG. Gas is $5.97 per liter now. So that would be $2,167.00tt. In 2023 I was spending $900.00tt in CNG and super combined and that was too much. So the start of 2024 I switched to EV. My electric bill went up by $400.00 for the 2 month cycle. So that is $200 to power my EV for the month but my gas bill went down to zero, and I drive more now as the Ioniq 5 is a joy to drive without having to think about the cost of gas and tune-ups. I did a tune up every 3-4 mounts at the cost of $1,300.00tt that is money I no longer have to spend. EVs are defiantly the way to go in T&T If use about 19.71 khw a day at most. that’s 8.28tt for the most. That would only get me 1.4 liters of gas. Where that going to take you.

I didn't know there were electric vehicles in Trinidad. I'm assuming it's Chinese. In my location, I'm used to seeing Teslas & Rivians. Interesting car though, it's good to see Trini's infrastructure growing.

We have a lot, Tesla, Volvo, KIA and yes Chinese MG, BYD, and a few others.

@@Stormtrooper_Accuracy from the main stream car dealers this is the list of EVs I known you can get in Trinidad to date. Hyundai, Volvo, MG, BMW, BYD, Mini, Ford, GWM. Porsche. All with manufacturer's warranty and local servicing.
