Hey Maya, I’m a songwriter and I write in different genres. I am 53 and was into the punk scene when I was young and I liked Metallica but I’m a servant of God and I’m not into the devil/ evil message in a lot of metal even though I like the music . I like the metal singer Dan Vasc. I pray you follow his path and play metal but follow God and become the good person I know you are. I want to write for young musicians like yourself. I pray you don’t get into partying because that will destroy you and you will lose your blessing. Fame at a young age is very dangerous. I pray your parents are really protecting you. Don’t try to grow up too fast. Try to have as normal a childhood as possible. Many blessings.

If that was the case, then India wouldn't have recognized Ar Rahman, illayaraja and other great music composers. Point is it depends on which platform you use to sustain popularity. Music through movie industry is one way. There are private concerts too. India has the market.

Agree that marketing is also a factor. A 7-year-old boy from Kerala won the Sony super star star 3 and he became a winner and adorable singer whereas in Kerala he was not given any importance due to various factors, there in North India they recognised his potential, groomed him up, sang excellent songs and became the winner
