Some inspiring sounds! Really interesting experiment. The distortions were fuzzy, broken and beautiful. But I think it was the modulation that really caught my ear. One a much smaller scale I've been playing with a Korg FK-1 Synthe filter / envelope follower from the 70s that does some cool stuff to a guitar. Also in the process of having an ARP Avatar fixed up so I can use the guitar synth side of it. Quite intrigued as to what it's going to sound like! Almost no material on KZbin.
@jdb19825 жыл бұрын
FK-1 is like a super wah, it's essentially the filter section from a Korg synth. I love mine and have used it on a good number of albums.

Cool sounds. As a guitar player I find it tricky to go from a standard pickup, typical of most electric guitars, to most analog synth or sound equipment, unless someone else is at the controls while I play... like you guys did. It's good if I find a sound that I like... and stick with it. Not so good in a performance if I want to manipulate or change sounds. Guitars require both hands, most of the time.

Great experiments. I think some of the tones would benefit of going through a guitar speaker at the end (via a clean amp) to filter the high end. They are cool now, sure, but the fizzy sounds are close to what usual guitar distortion sounds like without speaker. The speaker would open even more possibilities.
