Over the years I've always been surprised to see that this video uploaded to vice.com in 2010 had not been uploaded to youtube, so I decided to do it myself.

Just saw this guy play a show in Sydney last week, and I can say hands down that this was one of the most fully immersive experiences I have ever had. From the music, to the lighting and visuals… everything was on point. It felt like more of a hyper sensory experience than just listening to some music, closer to being inside a movie or painting than anything else.

I relate to this music on a spiritual level. Idk if it the nostalgic factor of being in a hypnopompic state while falling asleep to the television in the late 80's/early 90's, the aesthetic and structure of sound that I grew up with hearing tangerine dream, even pink floyd as a young child.. I truly don't know. But I relate to it.

During the music parts of this video, switch up the video speed (0.5, 0.75, 1.25, 1.5). Or hit 'custom' above that. Use your arrows to scroll between loads of varied speeds. 'K' and 'Spacebar' are both play and pause, 'M' is mute, alternate them/hit them together or even better, press and hold, to make glitchy stutters.
