Thank you, for your video. I thought I needed to remove my ignition too. BUT, thanks to YOU, you proved me wrong. When I left my car set for a few minutes after parking it, the ignition switch would relax and turn to the off position. So now when I park the car I sit for 20 seconds and rattle the gear shift lever, AND that relaxes the cable. I realized it when I seen you take the connection off the switch

Dude I watched a video before yours and the guy was taking the dash apart and everything looked like a 5 hour job. Accidentally hit your video loved it I was done in ten minutes . I should have watched till the you probably said how to program the new key

Thanks. Used to replace and repair my sister's car with sporadic loss of power to power windows, HVAC. Does anyone know if this could also cause check engine codes related to evaporative emissions solenoids and system? Thought maybe they may served by same fuse box losing power from ignition switch.

My brothers car is experiencing the same symptoms. I was condemning the BCM or body control module but now I'm going to focus my diagnosis on the ignition switch.

Broder es normal que al meter la llave y poner el switch en acc el carro enciende todos los instrumentos y los testigos del tablero y además cuando lo apagó estando en marcha y lo pongo en acc no se apaga y se queda sonso el carro

Key turned to on position for 10 mins , once it's solid on or off, turn car off and take key out for 10 seconds. Then start your car.

On my 05 classic the radio stays on until you open the driver door when key is removed

When you open the door everything supposed to be off if still on you have problems in the electric Ignition switch replace

@@normanperez8324 yeah when you open the door everything will shut off, after driving & just taking the key out the ignition the radio stays on until you open the door
