Hi Anton, brings back memories them mowers do. Back in the 80's my mate used to buy these from our local tip for anything from 50p to £1 if they had a grass box. More often and not all they need was a belt or rewiring, very few needed motors. You can tension the belt by slackening the two motor screws and pushing the motor away from the other pulley. Aim for 4mm slack in the middle of the belt and hold motor and tighten screws. If it's too slack it whips and snaps and if it's too tight it may snap or bugger the motor up.
