How did the motor not almost immediately die? Did you use distilled water instead of tap water?
@davidrobert20073 жыл бұрын
These motors are pretty tough, it was just normal tap water.

It's a Mabuchi

Bro these motors don't die as early as you think, the only thing that can harm them inside water is the rust otherwise they can run with no issue, i have made a small submersible pump with dc motor with motor completely exposed to water and its working fine

@@electronicdude921 Question, would it be viable to use distilled water as an insulator in place of the enamel that covers copper wire in motors? Could the insulation of the DW prevent it shorting out?
@electronicdude921 Жыл бұрын
@@JenkoRun although it is a good insulator and you could use it, but its not recommended to use as water can mix up with impurities and become a conductor... That's all I know and I don't guarantee its 100% correct.

Now we don't have to worry about overheating

What makes the water discolor? Material from brushes?
@davidrobert20073 жыл бұрын
I think so

Made me think of a scene from The Big Lebowski, but its a motor: "Where's the electricity, Mabuchi?! Where's the friggin' electricity, brush-head?!"
