This is so on point for me, finding the transition from a standard esk8 pretty difficult but its all down to having confidence and understanding the capabilities of the board, I'm going to fit the heel straps and get some practice in and hopefully be able to keep up with everyone this season! Great video as always Lee 👍

Thanks Mark. We have all been there dude and I'm no expert by any stretch. If you are fitting heel straps (which I think is a great idea) then please consider also switching the remote to "current" mode for bi directional throttle. Not only is this wise from a safety point of view but having the option to reverse with some torque is always very handy. Just make sure you have Al the gear on and you can push yourself a little. Once you go heels you never go back

Hi Lee great channel. I live in Northern California recently got a board from China. I'm 5 months into riding around the mountain I live on as well as the Redwoods & the beach at low tide. So far the deck is holding up to my abusive riding yet there's always room for improvement. The biggest problem I have is no protection for the belts. Sticks get caught up in the belt /pulley causing damage and or a crash. There's also a clearance issue at times with the battery box underneath. I haven't been able to find any aftermarket covers that fit the motor covers I got worked ok but needed modifications. If I could change a few things like the clearance and the lack of protection for the belts as well as a remote that is more smooth than the one that came with it is where I am at now. Any advice or knowledge about where I can find aftermarket parts would be great. Also a video on trouble shooting common problems & fixes would benefit a lot of people. Your videos have been an inspiration for me to say Damm my disability I'm riding. And after 13 years with no board strapped under my feet I am grateful to be carving down the mountain side. If your ever in the states look me up for a ride in the Redwoods. So I thank you again Lee!

I wish I could afford the stuff to add motors to my mountainboard. I bought a (vintage?) MBS Grom.6 off the internet like ten years ago for eighty bucks, and had to replace the deck and wheels multiple times since then. A few days ago I traded for an MBS Core 95 since my other board needs a new deck again. I've got a wishlist on Amazon with everything I'd need to electrify one of them, including knockoff 18v Milwaukee power tool batteries, but I just can't justify spending the $500 on it. PS I've gone much faster than I was comfortable with downhill a few times on my board (got major speed wobbles) and never fell off, the one time I was injured was once when I was turning at very low speed and fell off and I'm pretty sure I broke my wrist. Didn't go to a doctor (I'm American, no health insurance) but I bought a wrist brace for a few bucks at a thrift store and wore it for a couple months. I haven't learned basic techniques like speed scrubbing because I'm terrified of the damn thing, but I absolutely love it.

And are the motors in the intro Turnigy SK3 6374s? If so, how do you like them? I am considering them right now for a drivetrain upgrade (gonna be a single drive belt driven street board, so I need a reliable and powerful motor).
