They could have. But think about all the publicity they got with the stunt they pulled by calling this the Mustang. Every person and their mother heard about it. News about this spread like wildfire. Everyone then knew Ford was making an electric SUV. It became subject of conversation at parties, water coolers at work, car forums.....the whole intent was to get the world's attention....and they did. People will get over it, like they always do. The few minority will hold a grudge, like the Chevy Corvette ones who are mad at a rear engine instead of the traditional front engine. You can never please everyone and you should never have to.

I’m 6’0 and stalky and barely have a enough thigh room in an Audi Q5. This would stop me from buying the car all together if I was in the market for one which is disappointing because this car looks better than what I thought ford had up their EV sleeves.

That’s weird that Doug’s car had the propulsion sound and theirs didn’t. Doug also said he was surprised at how much he could “drift” in this car and they said they couldn’t have much fun even with traction control off, and that all it’s really good for is going fast in a straight line. Edit: Throttle house also had propulsion sound in their car. And they also had said it handles a lot better than they expected in corners and were able to get a little loose with traction in a bend and said it was fun. Who do we believe?

This review was done with an earlier preproduction car than those other reviews. It's confusing as hell because they all came out today due to the embargo being lifted but some of these reviews were filmed months apart. Looks like Doug DeMuro's was done most recently.
