In this video we present the construction of an electricity generator using several magnets that rotate on the periphery of a wheel and pass close to a coil made with copper wires.
The passage of each magnet close to the coil causes the magnetic flux inside it to vary, and according to Faraday's Law, this induces the appearance of voltage and electric current in the coil.
The mechanism becomes more efficient if we manage to position the coil as close to the magnets as possible, in addition, placing an iron core in each coil and a greater number of coils further improve the performance of the device.
If we have a motor source such as the rotation of the axis of a weather vane (wind generator) or a waterfall, we could obtain enough energy for some practical application, whether lighting a light bulb in a house or even charging a battery. automotive, or cell phones.
The main advantage in this type of construction is the low rpm required for power generation.
