My old electric scooter (Hero Electric Maxi of 2015) started stalling when running. Google search indicated failed Hall effect sensors as you said. But I thought that the rotational accelerator at the right handle might be waiting for lubrication, gave it some electrical lubricant; no change. Then I realized that braking either front or rear wheels will automatically switch off the accelerator. So I oiled the front and rear brakes; no improvement. But I also saw that the rear brake handle on the left direction handle is loose; the spring is broken or has come out; so the rear brake is not strongly in off position. I tested the scooter on middle stand. Turned on power, acceleration on right handle would not rotate the rear wheel. Then I gave full acceleration, no turns in rear wheel, then pushed the left brake handle out as if its spring is in action. The rear wheel started rotating! Then I turned off the accelerator, the rear wheel stopped. Now no amount of spring action on the left brake handle would start the rear wheel. Please watch the video of the accelerator, non-braking (!) tests. The hub motor can stall due to faulty brake handler. Rule this out before looking into the hub motor. The advice and youtube posts from technicians like you is of immense help to others including technicians.
