I use Flex arm but great to see a electric tapping arm in action. I just by chance ran across your channel and now binge watch all your content you make great videos

Could you maybe share the recommend torque for each thread size? Every time I use my electric drill to tap holes I simply assume one haphazardously.

Why wouldn’t you have thread milled that many holes in your cnc router? Thread mills can't get stuck in the hole when they fail so you’re much less likely to damage the hole / threads?

That’s a good point, could have saved me lots of time

I have the cheaper air powered version. I love it but its soooo loud. Would be nice to have an electric one day.

Can it also be used as a drill?

Probably too slow rpms for drilling

thank you for this video, I also looked at those things but I was skeptical if they can meet my requirement... I have a lot M3 to tap. Initially I did manually hand tapping --- forget it too much work; afterwards I modified a DIY CNC to do the tapping (the advantage is also that it won't occupy the large Mitsubishi CNC here).. this basically works fine. However since you have this video here, would you recommend this tool for M3? Or is there any minimum size you would recommend this machine for?

It works just fine for M3, haven’t broken an M3 tap yet

Thats on the list to buy, but I haventt found one i wanted to try for less than $1200. May have to try that one. I tap a lot of holes usually and is probably why i have such bad carpal tunnel.

I don’t know if I would recommend it you have hand pain, my hands are generally fine, but hurt after using this for some time…the grip just doesn’t feel ergonomic somehow

Did you go with a vertical or universal head? This is very cool and prices have come way down. Thank you.

Universal, but I have not ever needed to utilize the feature yet
