most to all exhaust will still go straight to the muffler....the exhaust won't take a 90 degree turn if it's not blocked

And? If pressure in a exaust pipe is greater than outside it will take any path to equalize. And considerering that the muffler is more restrictive than that cherry bomb, most of the gases will go there.... That 90 degree, will only make the flow more turbulent.

No this wont hurt or give negative effects is has enough back pressure and is freed of the stock muffler i tested this on my rb25de neo on a dyno now gone to det and 4inch straight pipe free as a bird turbo needs no backpressure
