Same blades on both machines? Sometimes battery mowers get thinner, lighter blades with lower sail which reduces air resistance in order to extend run time, but also reduces vacuum and discharge force, which is a common complaint of most battery models. Also, can all John Deere dealers service the Z370R or do they have to be sent to select dealers who are qualified for battery mower service?

How cold can the batteries safely get while in winter storage?

Thanks. With 1.5 acres and so tired of that loud motor, I'm seriously considering the battery option now. 5 years sounds pretty good. Wonder how much to replace them and like the other person said, what about service.

What service? The service on my electric car for the first 150k miles is rotate the tires and change the cabin filter. How long will the batteries last? Li-Ion batteries are rated for ~2500 cycles (cycles indicate battery life). So if you mow once a week and deplete the battery completely it will last ~ 2500/52 = 48 years. We have EV's with 200k miles on them and 10% battery degradation. Since I live in the north and only mow about half the year that's 96 years!
