Thank you Sir, also, and I am an old bloke from Australia, who has found a passion in life after 60 years, Maths or as some say Math, I was 70 years old this April 2018 I had little schooling as a lot did away from Cities in Australia in those years. I enjoy your teaching, I understand your step by step very well, which is a great way to learn.Thank you.

Isn't the 120 the rms value for voltage and to get max you need to multiply by root 2🤔🤔🤔🤔?
@MichelvanBiezen Жыл бұрын
The 120 V is indicated as the maximum voltage, not the RMS vottage.

Thx sir I have a question about phasor form in phasor form, why"120" is Vmax, shouldn't it be Vrms?
@Micholin164 жыл бұрын
not because the units for the voltage source were given in V and not V_rms.

I came here trying to remember the formula for average power. In the 70's, when I was in school, it was stated as Average Power = 1/2 Re [V I*] which of course is the same as the formula on the board.

Good to see you are back at it.

Where is the rest of chapter 12? It says 8 of 38 but I can't seem to find the other 30 videos. Please help!

We are working on them. They should be published soon.

Dr. Michel, i lost how to find the phase angle when you divided 70/30 and you took the arctan. how did you got the angle? thanks
@MichelvanBiezen4 жыл бұрын
30 represent the real part (horizontal) and 70 represents the imaginary part. So the phase angle is the inverse tangent of (70/30) You use a calculator to find the inverse tangent of 7/3

@@MichelvanBiezen Thank you so much for you fast reply. I was doing that but I was getting 1.6067 that's why I was confused but it turns out that I was using radian mode not the degree mode lol. Thanks again for your help.

hi dr. may i know why you use 120V as Vmax?? Isnt it 120V is Vrms as its in phasor form??
