Im going with everyone else so far. The Romex is UF and legal.

After the video was posted, it was brought to my attention that the cable is actually UF which is listed to be suitable in a wet location [340.10(3)], so, this installation is correct.

That romex may be UF. I have seen some newer UF on the market that doesnt look like the old stuff im used to. It strips a lot easier. Maybe, i dont know, its hard to tell from the video. Missing KO seal and no bushing on the raceway are definitely the biggest issues here i think

In some areas romex is allowed in PVC with special circumstances.

@@christopherworks400 it can be used in PVC as long as as the conditions for Romex are met. It can't be used in PVC in wet locations like UF can.

@@champinsoccer9 look at it again. You can see where the insulation was molded around the ground wire. It looks like it's only loose where it's stripped. I've noticed it all depends on how you strip it.

Romex it's not allowed in a conduit because it's becoming Doble insolation and it's going to over heat the conductors

FALSE. NM cable is permitted in a raceway, just not a raceway located outdoors on in a wet location.

Didnt touch on the IPC taps at all. If you are on 2023 NEC, 230.46, taps must be listed to be used on the line side of the service. As far as I know those Ilsco IPC taps are not. Polaris pass through plugs are and the brand new NSI ones are though.

Is it against the code to have a bond bushing when it's not necessary?
@xCALIMADRIDISTAx6 күн бұрын
No you just have to make sure you use the bushing correctly Example i was called out by an inspector. I used a bond bushing because I needed a smooth edge coming in and I didnt use the bonding screw. The correction was to just bond your ground going through it
@MikeHoltNEC5 күн бұрын
Nope
@jamesbsa64505 күн бұрын
@xCALIMADRIDISTAx isn't this an example of using the bond to ground going g through the unnecessary bond bushing? If not, how is this different.
