Just loved it when boss said I was trying to get ahold of you for last halve hour. Before I put on the beliv hood or how ever you spell it I put my cell phone walkie talkie & beeper in my tool cart then put in special ear plugs. Never wanted to get a vibrating phone call when clad in PPE while working on energized equipment. For years my company said to wear 100% cotton t shirts undefwear & socks. Last 4 or 5 years they ( the people who produce PPE) tell us to only wear approved fire rated t shirts under our PPE long sleeve shirts. Companies too cheap to provide them for us. 50 years ago 6 electricians had to share the 1 pair of rubber gloves that never got tested. Safety Thank God has improved greatly since then.
