Thank you for producing these videos, and sharing your knowledge. This one and the last one are timely, as I just drove ground rods for my detached garage, to bring it up to code. Mine has a sub panel, so they are required.

Great videos Coach. I use these with our apprentice training program. The format and content are perfect for us to watch and have a quick discussion in the morning. Thanks for your hard work.

@electricalcodecoach Does code specify if there is a maximum amperage and still being able to run without ground rods? Can I run 30A/240v -No neutral for a hardwired piece of equipment and still not install ground rods?

Hey thanks for your knowledge! Question sort of unrelated but if you have a single branch circuit running to a detached building do you still need to provide means for disconnect?
@brycestrickland2756 Жыл бұрын
Are you still not required to have a disconnecting means at the separate building though?

Is there a downside to driving a ground rod? Is the a time when you absolutely shouldn't drive a ground rod?

Vernacular slang "110" is inaccurate. 120v, 240v, 360v, 480v are accurate.
@ElectricalCodeCoach Жыл бұрын
Eh 120, 240, 360, 480, are nominal voltages. Accurate readings are accurate.
