YY is the cable code used to denote the conductor and insulation used in the cable. Where Y= pvc insulation on the cores & other "Y" Is for the sheathing over the core/s. Suppose if the conductor used in cable is Aluminum instead of copper then the cable code will be "AYY" Where "A" Denotes = aluminum and other 2 "Y"s for insulation on core and outer sheathing. Secondly " FR-LS" Is no longer used in the industry now we go for "FR-LSH" it is FIRE RETARDANT LOW SMOKE & HALOGEN. It is basically the property of the PVC insulation used on the cable which will reduce the hazardous effect of smoke and fumes in case of fire outbreak. Then FS cable is the FIRE SURVIVAL cables these types of cable use a special type of compound in insulation which reduces the spreading of fire in molecular level to reduce the spreading of fire in case of fire outbreak, these cables generally combined with ZHFR (zero halogen fire retardant) compound to make much more safer cables, but eventually using these compound boost up the cost of final product and are not so much entertained in the economical market it is used in such critical wireing mainly. Again 2XWZ is the cable code. Hope it helped you in some sort.
