I have received the same question by one of the student earlier. The answer of question is opt. 3. Digital Relay Basically there are several other ways of avoiding Decaying DC Component in distance relaying like fuzzy logic and AI technique and these can be implemented in Digital relays. Rahul if possible kindly provide me the source of that question like from where have you seen that question (reference/book/question paper). for question 2. the correct option will be to provide backup. Basically Luminance is the light reflected from the surface and Luminous exitance is the total amount of visible light leaving a point on a surface into all directions above the surface. Both luminance and luminous exitance pertain to radiating sources of finite area, but luminance quantifies the flux radiated in a particular direction while luminous exitance pertains to the total flux emitted. Exitance is a much easier concept to grasp but, unfortunately, not as useful as luminance.
