The reason we want to add new component libraries is to be able to simulate with the new component, but the PIC microcontrollers downloaded on the web provided here you cannot add a hex file because the options are not shown in the edit component as a normal proteus component which makes it useless.

I think vsm model does not exist for this component. Go to properties of component and click herarical model

I think the added IC doesn't have simulation file which helps to simulate behaviour of IC on software.

Yes. Its model is not available. I emailed proteus for this component. But unfortunately u canot simulate it right now. But u will find 2 other pic of same family. If you manage to simulate then no problem for this pic in hardware

Some time new components dont uave simulation model. You can go to the properties of that component and check herarical model.

Translation results Hi friend, great video and very clear explanations, I followed your instructions to download the library of a "tlc45940" integrated and it was added to the list; it appears in the list of available components and I have applied it to my circuit. I use it to interface arduino for drive 16 leds. I then built the circuit on proteus 8,12 and then uploaded the arduino sketch. When I click on play command, a message "No model spicified for U2" appears where u2 is precisely the integrated tlc5940 and the simulation stops. can you help me to understand why?

Some components does not have proteus simulation models. That is why you are facing this problem. In that case vsm model of that component is requested from the manufacturer

The component can easily be added onto proteus but simulating it is another story, by merely adding it it will display "NO MODEL SPECIFIED FOR U5:...this error can be cleared by attaching hierachy module. The drawback is-----if you attach any component hierach module....it will not simulate. How can i solve that?
