One thing I got caught off guard is when on the CBT test I was given NFPA70 NEC2017 Code e-file as opposed to NFPA70 NEC2017 Handbook e-file I based my study on. Two files are structured technically the same but yet completely different. I panic a lot until I was able (sort of) to navigate through Code e-file and it's NOT EASY on the small screen divided in two portions - one for exam questions the other for a Code book. Study NFPA using a Code e-file ONLY and get familiar where the required tables are before the exam! I learnt this hard way for my next attempt.

Taking the test for the first time...this really helped me understand what to expect and how to prepare! Thank you

Yes, I made the same mistake. Even though I did not take a middle break and continued on... I left 45 minutes earlier. Not because I was exhausted (as I wasn't to that point: cortisol was RUSHING), but I felt I did what I could and this was WRONG! Spend EVERY minute of the exam allotted to you and don't leave early. If you still have time left in the exam, review already solved questions, go back to those you were in doubt.
