I heard this show is underrated, and I need to check it out. Now it makes sense why Lord and Miller used a cartoony Art style for Cloudy (your worst enemy), because it was influenced by clone high, but Cloudy could’ve looked better in 2d. I don’t know how Clone High would look in 3D

I like your funny review, AniMat. I remember watching the show back in 2020 when it got a resurgence in popularity, and I thought it was fun too. I wouldn’t say it was a masterpiece, but it’s still a great show with funny humor and characters with good development. I’m giving Clone High a 8/10. I hope the revival on HBO Max would be worth it.

Clone High is undoubtedly one of my favorite MTV cartoons along with Beavis and Butt-Head, Daria, 3-South, etc. I really love it so much, I keep watching the all episodes of Clone High on KZbin. Yet I'm glad that this show got revived by HBO Max. Thanks for the review, AniMat.

Wow, I never expected Animat to review Clone High this early. I'm glad to find out Animat likes Clone High. I would give Clone High 8,5/10. Surprisingly this review explained why Animat hates the animation of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, at least for me, because the Cloudy movies tried to have the art style of Clone High but the art style of Clone High is meant for an extraordinary animated TV series, not for a big budget CGI feature film. I'm personally fine with the animation of Cloudy movies, for the most part, as I do like the first Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. But the animation of the Cloudy TV series looks like something by Dingo Pictures and Video Brinquedo. Seriously, Flint looks like off-brand Peppa Pig in the Cloudy TV series.

India seems to take pedestal heroes very seriously and the show wasn't popular in India anyway. I mean it's not supposed to be the real Ghandi but Indians thought it was too insulting to someone who's considered a very beloved icon in Indian culture. A later season that never got created was supposed to reveal that "Ghandi" was actually supposed to be a clone of Gary Coleman but Scudsworth switched the labels by mistake. The Ghandi character acted like a party freak because he felt too pressured to live up to the standards of being a clone of a very respected figure. Similarly, India had a problem with the fake sequel parody "Ghandi 2" from the 1989 Weird Al movie UHF because it showed Ghandi as a kick-ass vigilante beating up thugs and driving a Ferrari. The clip was meant to parody sequelitis in a nutshell to the point where the 1982 Ghandi film got the treatment. But regardless, India just doesn't take kindly to satirical portrayals of him for several reasons. (Most of them are understandable but some argue that they take them too seriously.)

I remember watching this series back when MTV aired it, I use to laugh my butt off of the humor and the characters. However I didn’t watch the series finale. It wasn’t until last year and this year when JFK memes became popular where I did watched all of the episodes and the two part series finale, honestly I was surprised of what they did. But now that they’re bringing back the series my best guess is they would either keep Gandhi but have him be someone else or remove him completely, and to be honest Gandhi was one of the funniest character in the series but I can understand why it upset people in India.

I think the best compromise would be that the clone discovers he wasn't actually Gandhi's clone, but actually was Chandragupta or Akbar The Great. (The latter would actually set up some jokes about being actually related to Genghis Khan)

When the Clone High revival premieres (and it WILL, according to numerous news sites;) I wonder what they'll do with Gandhi? Will they keep him frozen or will the creators use that one fan theory that's been going around, i.e. have it be revealed that Gandhi is actually a clone of Gary Coleman? Either way, having him be absent from the cast would somewhat keep the revival from TRULY being a revival. Just look at what happened when Powerpuff Girls 2017 chose to exclude Miss Bellum
