A few bells and whistles stripped back to achieve the price point. But always ways to integrate control etc. I’m sure the home assistant crew are probably already sorting that lol.

I have one of the batteries and hybrid inverters, so far no real complaints. I charge on solar and the IO tariff, haven't had to use peak energy since. It is basically a GivEnergy battery but badged up differently, with a worse warranty, worse support (but goes to the same team) and an app that charges after the first year.

So assuming I just want to install this indoors and can live without the likes of intel octopus flux integration (I can manually set force charge discharge for say octopus agile) the only downside is the warrantee as the inverter and battery spec is higher than the Giv hybrid + 9.5 otherwise. Its promised as the budget end but are the prices reflecting that?

Hi Mark when wiring the batteries I would have gone from the inverter to the positive of the top battery and the negative of the bottom battery

It’s still a wall full of stuff and a load of time to connect everything up, we need more companies going the powerwall 3 route, all assembled in a factory. Give it a couple of years for the Chinese to copy what Tesla are doing.

The majority of the stuff is things we need in the fixed wiring. No getting away from that. Combining inverters and battery’s into modular form comes with a big draw back and that’s weight for installers. Modular is better imho. Also Tesla are very very from the leaders in this technology already.

Where does the earth come from for the batteries? Direct from the Consumer unit?
